HGV sold my data?

This is a weird post. But I want to come here to share my story and ask if they have done this to others.

Soooo to begin I called in to book a free night stay I had with Hilton. Was transferred to sales and was sped talked into the package (getting some of my personal information wrong which will come in later). However some extra fees were not informed to me at the time. After months of saying my intentions and dates I wanted to multiple agents. I was finally informed there’s an extra seasonal fee and a suite fee. I canceled my stay. I told them as such. Queue about a few months of back and forth and a BBB complaint (every step of the way they kept saying that the package was there if I wanted to book still) but I insisted I didn’t. Finally they issued me a refund.

Now fast forward a few months after getting my refund and I’m now getting calls from people claiming I have an unclaimed package that’s expired worth around 1200 dollars and they would like to help me book it. I explained to them I’m not interested in traveling. And I do not know what package they speak off (my Hilton package is the only one I ever got in my life, and it was early early 2026 this year.). They then proceed to claim the package was from 2022. Their supposed package purchase has the exact same errors Hilton grand vacation had. Including a unique major error in my name. (Think instead of smith, they had it as shith or something similar). They also claim I purchased the package with an email I didn’t make until 2025 (same email I used for Hilton grand vacation, and besides utilities, only HGV was used on this email). When asked they claim the account was updated with the email in March of 2025, which once again. Email wasn’t even made until later of 2025.

This is honestly an insane prospect to me that I canceled my stay and they just sell my package to the highest bidder. So I’m trying to figure out if others have had similar experiences and I’m not crazy.

Booked companion seat as movie is sold out. What happens if wheelchair user books next to me?

I booked 2 companion seats for me and my friend at a regal with IMAX 70mm so I can see the odyssey. The movie was sold out except for companion seats (even the weird corner seats right Infront of screen were sold out). I have been checking daily to see if any seats open up to switch to, and I have now discovered the wheelchair spot next to one of my seats has been booked. How does this work in a sold out movie if the wheelchair user requires my seat???

Is the Guoer K2 kickstarter a scam?

The whole kickstarter page just seems very suspicious. The fact its still up after so long has me second guessing my initial assumptions. As someone who travels for work this would be a great product. However there is a lack of comments and updates. ALOT of comments removed cause the person canceled their pledge (I wish kickstarter kept those comments there so everyone can see them). ETC ETC... does this seem like a scam... if so how can kickstarter even allow this to go on for so long?
