Found 2 of these on the floor randomly months apart

For context: the first one we found on the closet floor randomly. Tried to google it and couldn’t really find the answer other than assuming it’s a 3 gm weight. But we can’t figure out where it came from.

Then today- we wake up and there’s one next to my bed on the floor. It’s really freaking me out because it seems like they’re magically falling out of the ceiling. We’re moving soon so interested to see if we find anymore in the process😂

Please give me suggestions to what it is/ what it was being used for

Find the Mantis (Bonus Round)

Found my little buddy again last night. I guess he just lives there (and that makes me happy). This one's for everyone who thought it was a bit too easy last time.

I'll add a hint in comments if you're having trouble.

Crafted an IRL Fallout Quest for My Wife's B-Day Pip-Boy Gift

I pre-ordered my wife a pip-boy 3000 ages ago for her birthday so I thought I would add a little extra fun for the reveal. I crafted an (admittedly silly) mission to find a hidden supply cache.

Since the pip-boy has a functional FM radio, I wanted an in-house New Vegas radio station for extra immersion. From there, I decided to use that transmitter hidden inside a mini nuke so she could find the "hot" radioactive nuke that I would hide somewhere.

That was the only real issue that I had to band-aid with the note and PSA for anyone else who misunderstood the early reveal videos. There is no way to set geiger strength to tie directly to FM strength but you can turn on RSSI and see FM radio strength for the current station (so it gets stronger when you get close to a low-power personal transmitter).

Components:

  1. Pip-Boy - Super happy with quality on the new 3k model.

  2. Message from the Overseer (built a custom terminal message generator to deliver via gif)

  3. Supply Crate - Painted and stenciled a 50cal harbor freight ammo can

  4. Mini Nuke - Bethesda mini nuke popcorn bucket

  5. FM Transmitter - Preloaded with two 12-hour loops of New Vegas radio (with Mr New Vegas segments) and Fallout greatest hits songs to be able to select between the two

  6. Mini Nuke Crate - Built from fence planks and 2x2s

  7. Bottle Caps - Ordered from Bethesda store

  8. Sodas - Made these ages ago for a different project

  9. Rad-X - Just smarties in an old pill bottle.

I also ordered a bobblehead that she'll be getting soon but still hasn't arrived. Bethesda shipping (even expedited) is slow as shit.

My Landscaping Buddy

Dude hung out and watched me clear brush for about half an hour. Redbelly water snake, I think.

Sorry for the potato quality. I didn't want to get close enough for him to realize he wasn't being sneaky.

Any Interest in Lego Stardew Art Build Guides?

Saw this posted a day or two ago and I'm going to be creating some of these for the wife. Since i have no actual artistic talent, I'm planning to do it via python scripting to build out lego- compatible pixel layouts.

So my question is this. Would anyone be interested in the build guides and/or a tool to do it with any image? I'm cool with putting in the extra effort to do it up right if it's not just a one-off for my own sake.

Options are:

  1. Just do a one-off script for a few of them for myself.

  2. Create step by step instructions and piece kitting guides to share.

  3. Ad HTML UI for pic->pixel->build guide pipeline. (Obviously a fair amount of extra work for this)

I'll be happy to put in the extra work on it but I'm just trying to judge if it would be worth the effort.

Added a gif from a different project just as a token of "I'm serious and not just karma farming".
