The girl took a cardboard cutout of Danny DeVito to prom so he decided to make one of her and bring it to work
That’s incredible 😭 In 2018, Allison Closs, a senior at Carlisle High School, went viral after bringing a life-size cardboard cutout of Danny DeVito as her date to senior prom. Unable to find a traditional date, Closs decided to lean into humour and creativity, dressing the cutout with a tie and boutonnière and taking photos with classmates throughout the night.🥳 As the story gained traction, it caught the attention of DeVito’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-star Rob McElhenney, who responded by having a cardboard cutout of Allison made and placing it on set as a playful reversal of her original gesture. The exchange delighted fans and extended the viral moment, with Closs later appearing in interviews and even meeting DeVito in person.🙌
The Marlins have eclipsed the Cardinals and officially taken the third Wild Card spot!
Was waiting for this one from Daddino after the morsel he gave us last night
Talkin' Yanks and Fair Territory and ESPN and everyone else rightfully shaming this shameful move. And just remember, you can downvote me all you want, but you can't downvote the truth.
"This kid! Is! UNCONSCIOUS!!!": Kyle Stowers scorches a 102-MPH heater off Mason Miller for a WALK-OFF GRAND SLAM! (5/3/25) 💪🔥🐟
FLASHBACK: Ahead of tonight's series opener in Sacramento, here's the moment Stowers cemented himself as last season's All-Star for the Fish, when he walked it off with a 107.2-MPH GRAND SLAM against Mason Miller and the A's.
This was the first Marlins game I'd ever attended (I rediscovered my love for baseball as an adult). Needless to say, I was hooked (pun fully intended). Marlins and Stowers fan for life. Cinematic stuff!

LoanDepot Park (Miami): The Stadium Geek Visit
Cool video on the ballpark I stumbled upon! Of course, the guy had to pick an awful game to attend last year for the content. But it's definitely centered on the stadium itself, and it's fairly in-depth and well-produced (except he totally slept on the Bobblehead Museum!)

youtube.comThe 8th inning of Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS 🏆 (Steve Bartman incident)
The YouTube algorithm decided to unearth this doozy for me today. Marlins @ Cubs, Oct. 14, 2003, Wrigley Field. You really can't help but feel terrible for Bartman, especially in hindsight. But putting that aside, for Marlins fans, this was one of those historical high points for the franchise that defies logic and inspires awe. So damn cool seeing Castillo, Miggy, Pudge, and the rest of the crew unexpectedly causing a second Great Chicago Fire.
Ekness is called up after Gibson is optioned down. Personally, after having to witness that debacle in person last night, this is not unwelcome news. What are your thoughts?
