How Do You Know When to Push For More?

Hi everyone,

Our 5 year old neutered male Caesar, a Nebelung, is an apartment cat.
This weekend was his first real “getaway” from the apartment (besides going to Grandma’s house).

He is not too social and only in the last year has he been comfortable in the apartment hallway of our building, exploring it calmly and being friendly with passing people.

In this picture, the area is completely new; he’s been in our small cottage for only 12 hours now, pee’d once, ate only a few bites of food, hasn’t drank any water at all, and has barely slept.
We will be going back home tonight, a day early for his sake.
His breathing has been faster more often than slow since his trip here.
He’s been quiet, barely meowing.

Now he’s chilling under a table, breathing normal.

I just feel like I should give up on him becoming an adventure cat. I wasn’t expecting him to be this stressed. 😩😔

So what are tips, tricks or general advice?
How should I know when to call it quits on pushing him?

Thank you!

Is this a tick? Toronto, Ontario

I live in an apartment building, up high on a floor.
Just to the right of this photo is an open window with a screen.

Is this a tick?
If so, how the hell did it get in here?
Is it possible it hitched a ride on a pigeon??

Should We Change His Dry Food to 80% of This?

Hi Vets and Vet-Techs!

We have a 5 year old male Nebelung cat and recently took him to the vet for a dental check-up.

The vet said his teeth look great, no gingivitis, only a bit of tartar. I brush his teeth weekly.

He recommended that for healthy teeth maintenance, we switch his dry food to HillsPrescription Diet t/d Dental Care. This particular one.

His only dry food has been Orijen kibble that he likes and seems high quality nutrition-wise.

So I’d like a second (or more!) opinion on if it’s worth it to change his dry food to Hills Dental Care?

It seems a little lower quality nutrition-wise, but does a good job cleaning and maintaining oral health.

And obviously I’d rather not have to put him under anesthesia for a teeth cleaning…

Your professional opinions would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏻💜

Can I Avoid Building Nursery And Get Different Home Upgrades First?

Hello farmers!

I just recently started playing Stardew, less than a month ago, and I’m at Spring 7, 2nd year. (Been playing a lot, lol).

(This picture isn’t mine - I’m just helping you with the visuals).

So far for home construction, I only added a kitchen.
I’m nowhere near dating any of the characters, and when I go to Robin for home construction, the only thing she offers me is a nursery.
I don’t understand why??

For reference I have a Forest Farm.

I just want more space, but not kids.

Help!
