Hairvivi questions: Glasses friendly? Tuck behind the ears? Do well in a ponytail or bun? Can they support bangs?

Trying to ease my way into wig life with something relatively affordable. Hairvivi has some options that work for me (I like the Juliet, if anyone's tried that one). But as I think through what kind of look I want to commit to, I'm curious if their wigs can let me do any of the following:

  1. Tuck my hair behind my ears
  2. Cut baby bangs/Bettie Page bangs if I decide I don't like the hairline (what can I say, I'm a 90's alt kid)
  3. Convincingly wear it in a ponytail or bun if I leave it long (prefer high but low is acceptable)
  4. Cut it into a soft shaggy bob/bixie without exposing the cap if I decide to mimic my short bio hair

Non-negotiable: I wear glasses, so I need to make sure the arms don't poke into the cap or expose it.

I'll also take recs for other wigs that might be better for these preferences, though my budget is below $750 max. (Prefer human hair.)

Moving: Experience with 17 Barkley?

Looked at 17 Barkley the other day and liked what I saw. Apartments and amenities seem nice. Price seems a little too good to be true, though, and it's got me wondering why. Are they cheaping out somewhere under the surface or just pricing aggressively to keep units filled? Anyway, if anyone would like to share their experience, I'd be grateful.

FWIW, my priorities are safety, a reasonable degree of quiet, and prompt maintenance. I'm also NOT looking for other apartment suggestions.

DMs are open if you don't want to share publicly.

Career progression optics: From editor to senior writer. From a hiring perspective, does this seem like a step down?

I currently work as a content editor, which bores me, and have the opportunity to move into a senior writer role, which would be much more interesting. As far as salary and what my day-to-day would look like, it would be a win-win. But I'm curious about the long-term resume optics.

I know (firsthand!) that editors and writers don't have identical skillsets, but I typically see writers advancing their careers as editors, not the other way around. I do have some concern that making this shift could look like a red flag and delay or cut me off from future opportunities for growth.

At the end of the day, a good job is a good job, and I certainly won't let this stop me from making the right decision for my bank account or happiness, but I'm curious to see what others think.

Topaz House apartments: What's the deal with the climate control there?

Planning to move up to the area later this year and am coming up for a quick weekend to scout out potential apartment buildings/complexes. My time is short, so I'm trying to narrow down my options as much as I can from afar.

I see from other posts that Topaz House is (a) much beloved, and (b) that management controls heating and a/c. I'm slightly concerned about this because I have a chronic illness that's exacerbated by heat. Could anyone here tell me how warm they let it get before they turn on the A/C? Are you able to adjust the temps inside your apartment at all? And do they make the call based on the weather forecast or actual conditions inside the building?

I assume higher floors get hotter than lower floors, too, so if you're comfortable sharing how high up you are as well, that would be helpful.

I do plan to ask them as well, but since their job is to make me sign a lease, I'm sure they'll downplay anything negative.

Feel free to DM me if you don't want to share those details on main. Thank you so much!
