Newbie

I’ve played RockBand most of my life, always on PlayStation. I’m getting back into it after a long time and finally just got an e drum kit. I was asking CloneHero players about the cheapest laptop I could get to make it run well. I heard that Yarg is CloneHero for people with better computers 😂 Can anyone recommend the cheapest laptop that will run Yarg well? 😅

Will This Drumset Work?

Would anyone be able to tell me if this Drumset would work? I know I’d have to get the roll limitless adapter. I’ve never used any Drumset other than the actual game one. Playing on PS5. Thanks so much!

Suitable PC?

I’ve always been a strictly console “gamer.” Currently have a PS5. I’d like to get into CloneHero just to gain access to more songs. Can anyone recommend a cheap, reliable laptop that I can use to run the game? Would need to be able to run at least 2 guitars at the same time. I tried downloading it on my girlfriend’s HP tablet/laptop thing and it was NOT happening. Thank you!

ONLY NIBBLES

I can’t tell what I’m doing wrong. The fish in my apartment pond aren’t big by any means; mostly sunfish and blue gill. They nibble at this thing constantly. Sometimes the bobber will go completely under water and I’ll try to set it, but only succeed like 5% of the time. Any ideas?

Product Options?

Absolutely loving the Sam Rascal look. Currently following his regime of towel drying, sea salt spray, his company’s Styling Cream, then topping off with some hair spray and allowing to air dry. It’s working okay and I would stick with it, but they stopped shipping his styling cream to the US. Any recommendations? I’m definitely going for this “wet” look. It’s been REALLY nice not having to blow dry my hair anymore.

Helped an Owl!

Just kinda a cool story of mine from about to years ago. Honestly, one of the highlights of my life. Writing it, it sounds like it’s all bullshit lol. But this is 100% my true story and can somewhat be corroborated with my pictures.

I was visiting my parents in the Youngstown, OH area when I noticed a huge bird on their roof. I had thought it was a large hawk until I was able to get close enough to see it was an Owl, in broad daylight. When he took off, you could clearly see something hanging from his leg. He landed in a tree in the backyard so I went back to try and see what was going on with him. He was only maybe 15 feet up or so, and you could clearly see a large object on his leg. He wasn’t interested in flying away or anything, so I spent about 30 minutes calling out to him with my arms in the air saying, “come here baby! It’s okay!” Like this owl was going to literally fly into my arms or something lol. My dad eventually came outside to see wtf I was doing, and he grabbed a rake and taped another pole to it. He was able to kind of latch the rake onto the metal thing while I got on a ladder and broke the branch so that the owl basically had to come onto the rake. He still didn’t try to fly away, so we carried him into our shed. He had an ANIMAL TRAP on his foot, but somehow it looked like it didn’t cause any damage. It almost just sort of “pinched” the pad of the bottom of his foot. No broken skin or anything. He let us take it off with absolutely zero fuss (I think he was extremely tired from carrying this thing around). He kinda just hung around awhile and stared at us, but he eventually flew back into the tree and spent the entire evening there. In the morning, he was gone. I had never seen an owl in real life; never even HEARD one before this. It was incredible.

Cool Pack over Synchromed??

We have a patient to be scanned and our MRSO wrote a note to place a cool pack over their synchromed baclofen pump to reduce heating? I’ve never heard of that and would think to NOT do that, as they’re gel filled and could potentially cause burning. I looked anywhere for any sort of information that states to do that and have found nothing. Any input??

Crankbait - I’m Dumb

This is probably another dumb ass question, but I am really new to fishing. I’ve only ever fished using either worms or artificial baits like plastic grubs/worms in combination with a bobber. I want to try and use something like a crankbait, but I shouldn’t use a bobber with that, correct? I really only use a bobber so my hook won’t get stuck on all the stuff near the bottom of the pond. If using a lure like crankbait or rooster tails, do you have to just practice reeling quick enough for the momentum to keep it off the bottom without a bobber? Again, I’m so sorry about my dumbass questions. Thank you!!

Wetting Hands

So I just learned you’re supposed to wet your hands before handling the fish. I just fish from the shore of a pond. No boat, no waders, just the shore. Might be a dumb question, but how am I supposed to wet my hands before touching the fish? Reel it in, set it on the ground still on the pole, and then dip my hands in the pond??

Apartment

I live on the first floor (numerous windows) of a three story apartment building in the city. My biggest fear is other people easily getting inside. I feel like if shit goes down, here are my options; 1) Stay put and try to fortify the ELEVEN windows and two doors 2) Break into third (top) floor unoccupied apartment and set up there 3) Travel \~20 minutes to girlfriends parents home with a basement (in the city) or 4) travel \~ 2.5 hrs to my somewhat rural parents house with a basement.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I feel like our best chance would be to break into an upper story apartment at my building, but I would love some outside advice.
