A. Sknarin. A bunch of Dungeons and Dragons characters.

Hi everyone, here are some characters that I (and some other people) played with during several DnD campaigns:

  1. Robin - dwarf barbarian (making of/timelapse video);
  2. Dolgo Holmson - halfling rogue;
  3. Sneeze - elf sorcerer
  4. Barendal The Harmonious - old dwarf bard.

A. Sknarin. My version of Daggerfall (TES2) ingame portraits.

These portrats are based on the original pixel art ones from the game Daggerfall (from the same game series as Skyrim). I originally painted those for a mod but that project halted about 15 years ago. Recently I found those unfinished artworks and decided to give them a bit of a extra brushwork. Therefore, technically, you can say that it took me just about 15 years to finish them (but actually about 1 day per each character with a veeeery long lunch break in the middle).

And also a few making of videos on my instagram: fat guy, hooded guy, and orc guy.

Gortwog, King of the Orcs - hi-rez portrait

This dude looks a bit odd in the game so I tried to update his appearance to the modern TES standards. He also has a ponytail on a full body image, but it wasn't visible on a portrait (the top of his head is cut off by the border of the image) so I decided to not paint it. Let's say it is not visible from this point of view.

Also check a little making of video on my instagram.

Thanks so much!

Lord Coulder - hi-rez portrait

Slightly refreshed smirky face of Lord Coulder. I found it to be a fun exercise - taking my own painting from 15 years ago and change it a bit according to my current skill and painting style. (Feel myself a bit George Lucas in a bad sense 😄 .) Please check the timelapse video here.

[Art] Snape, Dumbledore and McGonagall

I finally finished this one. Professors Snape, Dumbledore and McGonagall. It also has Fawkes and even Phineas Black (kinda). For those who like watching "making ofs" I uploaded a very detailed one here.

[Art] Robin - Dwarf Barbarian

Hi everyone. Meet Robin - she's a dwarf barbarian who works as a bouncer in a tavern "Racing Pony". Short stature doesn't make her less tough, therefore everyone knows best to not piss her off. She grew up as a part of a desert tribe, but then moved into a sprawling city of Talantus. She also well known as a boat expert - sometimes she's hired to sail the boat as well as providing security on the way. You can also check the painting timelapse for this image.

[art] Professor Minerva McGonagall

Hey what do you think of my version of McGonagall? This is the part of the same illustration with Snape and Dumbledore I posted earlier. Hopefully I'll finish the rest of that illustration some day.

Please check the timelapse if you like this stuff.

Thanks!

The Crow - hi-rez portrait.

Some time ago I had a hobby - to paint more detailed versions of some of the characters from Daggerfall (Does anyone remember DaggerXL project?). Recently, I found some of that old artworks and decided to refresh them a little (to make them stylized consistently) and post them on my sketchbook.

Please welcome the first one - The Crow from the Thieves Guild.

The original pixelart is on the second image.

What do you think?

Please check my version of Dumbledore

This, together with Snape I posted earlier, is a part of a bigger picture I'm working on, and going to, hopefully, finish sooner rather than later.

Check the timelapse and the full picture sketch. (Yes, McGonagall next).

Thanks.

Dolgo "The Donut" Holmsson - rogue halfling

Just refreshed a bit a picture of one of my old characters.

Dolgo Holmsson, better known in the criminal world as "The Donut". The rogue halfling.

He is a highly experienced mercenary specialized on theft, burglary and even assassination. Proficient in stealth, melee and ranged weapons.

But his actual goal in life is to hoard enough money to open a restaurant of elven cuisine.

He had just accepted, what he expected to be "that one last job", but then everything went horribly wrong.

[Art] Sneeze - elf sorcerer and a rogue (sort of)

Race - elf.

Class - sorcerer.

Sneeze is an orphan raised on the streets of Talantis - a huge sprawling island city.

From the very early age he was a part of a gang of street rats - orphan children - same as he was. When he found a talent to magic he became a powerful assets for Elleanor - the head of a local gang.

But at the age of 20 he tried to distance himself from the criminal activity. However his past doesn't leave him be...

Hey everyone, I already posted this artwork on the other subreddit - I'm duplicating it here because it seems like an appropriate place as well.

With this I tried to catch how I envisioned these characters while reading the books, however I'm not 100% guarantee that I managed to avoid any other influences. Even though I tried to be book accurate it isn't a specific scene from any of the books, however having Crookshanks automatically sells it as POA period or later.

New artwork with my take on other HP characters in the same style is already in progress.
