regarding non-constructive complaints the engine update
i think something a lot of people fail to understand with the payday 2 engine update is that game engine upgrades are massive, tedious, and full of bugs.
so much stuff gets changed between engine versions that nothing will ever port 1 to 1. for example: have you ever seen someone try and port a complex model from an older version of blender to a newer version? so many little things change from engine upgrades that its often that people often wont notice with the naked eye.
a lot of time is taken to port a game to an updated engine due to those seemingly little differences, this includes the mods that are developed for the game. a lot of successful porting takes time, patience, and a lot of testing (hence the diesel engine update is in beta currently, Sidetrack is letting players find bugs and report them so they can fix them).
I understand the confusion and frustration I see from other players. I promise in due time, the game will work just fine and yall can use your mods again when Sidetrack and mod developers catch up with the new engine.
tl;dr: we'll be fine in due time, the bugs that are happening will be sorted out and we'll get to use the mods again soon
