sad bios loop

im in an awful BIOS loop. acer, if I go in with secure boot and I choose the UEFI file to be my grub, I get this screen and i check and see the only readable drive is hd1,gpt3 at ext2 (even though i chose ext4 in kde partitions) can't do much.

if i disable secure boot, I just get sent back to UEFI firmware settings (image2) and can't do anything

The USB I used (LiveGUI) also isn't readable on my laptop anymore, it just displays the internal drive. I know the USB works because I checked it on this chromebook and it shows gentoo inside files (the USB is called cruzer-blade)

is there any way to get out of this predicament?

Follow up on last post

So I managed to actually get much further into the handbook, even up to the reboot part. The issue is that Acer doesn't trust Gentoo for some reason

When I open up the bootloader menu, I see "1. Gentoo" which means it knows it exists, but when I open it, it just takes me to the F2 BIOS menu again. Did I do anything wrong? I don't see anything on the handbook about the Gentoo boot loading you back into UEFI firmware or BIOS.

I can check the disk on the LiveGUI, and I see that my big disk does have the system files. Does anybody have a fix, or does Acer block Gentoo?

Tips to install Gentoo?

Hi, so I tried installing Gentoo yesterday (3 hours) with the LiveGUI, and I failed since I got the bootloader into the USB! I am on an AMD64 device and I just wanted to know tips to install Gentoo.

I want a setup that is productive (so LibreOffice + OBS + Blender + Krita), and I also want to try out the i3 windows manager because it interests me. My current system right now is Mint XFCE, is there a way to practice Gentoo in a VM? Also what is different from a VM to a full installation?

Thanks in advance
