for reference, f10 is 500x1100 or the equivalence of 55 275 floors, and I am just wondering on ideas on what to do since its such a special floor?
RULES:
If I am being perfectly honest, this floor, Memoriser Tower Floor 5 is more like an insane floor. Even though I am not a speedrunning god I managed to do this in 10 minutes of playtime which is absurd since some ACTUAL baseline catastrophic floors are very hard
Official Floor Difficulty: 11.05 (iirc) bottom cata
Personal Floor Difficulty: Mid Insane
Now for GNOME, it just isn't very good I get constant slowdowns and I expected more from a hyped DE, but all I felt was betrayal. Lads I'm either going back to Cachyos Cinnamon or i3
BRUH I SPENT AN HOUR ON THIS JUMP AND I CAN'T PASS. OBVIOUSLY YOU CAN COUNT ON ELITE OBBYISTS TO DOWNGRADE AN OBVIOUS HORRIFIC MINI TOWER TO CATASTROPHIC
AJ DIFFICUTLY: LIKE MID EXTREME WTF
idk why it just peeves me
it's not the people, just the habit itself
Personally if I had to say it is low insane but IDK since NOBODY knows the floor difficulties of the outside section. Also was doing this since I have to adapt the second half of the outside for RoRRA
Difficulty: Low Mid Horrific (12.33)
All Jump Difficulty: Low-Mid insane
Enjoyment: 10/10
Pretty awesome horrific :o while it is a joke horrific by papaingus, I DO love how he managed to make tech gameplay from client object slop eg the ice wrap or the AWESOME buffed ToDC conveyor part that was really satisfying. Surprisingly quite good.
I also now have a ton of ideas for ToBS :D
Difficulty: idk
ToBS will be a tower with 26 sides (first ever to have a Z side) and I am aiming for an X quality rating. Unlike other X rated towers, this tower is extremely forgiving there is a net every section.
The goal of this tower is to train a new horde of players who will obtain the GAT gameplay skillset.
I am hoping to get this tower into GAT or ToS, but if i get REALLY lucky, this might get into TEA (but idk why)
TheGracefulHobo, thanks for everything you have done.
I used zenith's advice and tried to make non woggle jank. Did I cook?
I really want to showcase that one mini tower that guy told us about, but the issue is that I DON'T KNOW HOW TO TAS.
For context, an X rating means that the tower is one of the worst soul crushings ever, but I looked at the tower and it looks pretty normal I would say. The gimmick is that the tower gets harder and every floor past f1 (iirc, may be a bit earlier) is a softlock/instakill (softlock in its own game, instakill in Removed Tower Replay)
Personally I think this tower probably deserves at the very least a D grade.
Extraordinarily old by my standards. I have not done any art for nearly a year! Maybe I should return....
This was done at school lunchtime! IIRC about 2 of them.
Tower difficulty: Mid terrifying/Low catastrophic
Run Difficulty: Bottom Insane
Enjoyment: 11/10
I was bored after my ToBK grinding, and since I had a few days before I left home, I decided to play ToRRA legit and had SO much fun. The gameplay is well thought out imo, red floors require raw skill and camera control, while blue floors require jank, glitch and woggle (no jump wiggle) knowledge. The sound track of the tower is really good because TGH slowed down the tracks and made it have aura.
I remember getting up to the roof the first time legit and I was legit shaking for the first time (physically not just mouse tremors) and I really love how the tower uses nerve control so shamelessly :3 I feel like a nerfed version of this tower might be better than ToNoS for le hecking wholesome nerve control even though the former has "nerves" in the name.
Even though I failed the very first outside section (you can see which jump), I still had a ton of fun, and I didn't even scream. I just accepted my faith. TGH predicted the stress would crack me like the egg I was. I definitely think this could be my first terri/catastrophic because it has a ton of stuff I like
Since TGH is the owner of EToH XXS, I decided to build RoRRA for him, but currently my progress is f2 (red floor, blue floor, 100x100 outside), and will most likely continue next week.
Tower of Claustrophobia and Acrophobia is the first version of ToRRA, the inside besides some gameplay and the colour, is the same as v3 aka ToRRA. The outside as you can see is very short (few minutes long) but due to physics updates and TGH being unverified the final jump is impossible and cannot be fixed.
Facts about ToRRA:
This is relevant. I am quite bummed v4 is cancelled and TGH doesn't like collabs, so I have to do RoRRA myself. As always, stay safe.
Yes you've read the title correctly, I am asking about intenses, specifically the first ones people do.
Most people recommend an easy intense such as ToIE, something that is only hard carried in difficulty with 8 outside, and the raw gameplay is extremely easy compared to the difficulty. However that raises the question, is it moral to tell people to do an intense the community agrees is challenging just for an easy win? Or should we choose skill boosting towers?
ToTF (6.44, Low Mid Intense) is a tower that could probably be a skill booster. There is extremely difficult gameplay at F9 and 10 and can be a good skill booster in raw gameplay! In fact lognog did this before ToTL. It is however 0.43 points higher than ToIE. I am not talking about ToPA because honestly all I had to do with that tower was hold W, move my mouse and jump.
TAT (6.99 peak intense) might be the most interesting example for a first intense. It has the highest skill boost, boosting wallhop skills, camera control skills (inside is claustrophobic and outside has funky wrap gameplay), and the raw is insane. However you cannot practice this mini tower sadly.
So what is it guys? Give yourself the pleasure of beating an intense without being an intense (ToIE) or do a skill boosting tower even if it's hard (ToTF, TAT). And I don't want corny BS like "it's what the player likes" because people wouldn't play these towers if they were unenjoyable for them.
Im so fucking hyped, also yo is that the bisexual flag aardwolf impressed
this
might genuinely kill VM....
I think aardwolves, striped hyenas and brown hyenas are underrated
