Anybody else candyflip to an Alison Wonderland show before and vibe disproportionately hard to this scene?

On my latest Scream 2 rewatch (third I think) it dawned on me...

I'm slow but I realized that Mickey was the main debater in defense of sequels because he was actively trying to create his own sequel and that is a glaringly obvious clue in hindsight!!! He definitely grew on me as a Ghostface this watch through, more vicious than I remembered, loved his post-reveal... I like the muscle and motivated by crazy Ghostfaces the best!

My Ghostface Rankings

I spent way too long fiddling with this list. I understand I put some beloveds a little low, but I do not understand the lack of respect for my two favorites Charlie and Amber. Let me hear it

[E2 Spoilers] My favorite Mike Flanagan moment. Midnight Mass (2021)

I remember the first watch experience so vividly. Jaw drop, goosebumps, I even stood up. I was so awed. I still didn't know what direction the show was going in and I was truly shocked. He has so many beautiful monologues, gripping terrors, and mind breaking moments. I'm not really sure why this is the one for me. Midnight Mass isn't even my favorite of his catalogue. Most people would probably say the Nell Drop, and they'd be correct. But it's this moment that lives rent free in my head and stirrs my soul.

In defense of Salem's Lot (2024)

This adaptation gets a lot of hate. The first time through I was tough on it too but the second time I changed my opinion. They started off perfectly with the basement casket scene, the red glow from the tail lights into the basement was so cool and the cinematographer was in his bag the whole time. The Twilight silhouette scene I really liked too. Casting got it done. Ben and Sue worked well, I really enjoyed Mark. My only beef was Straker should've been presented as he was in the book bald physically imposing old world charisma. Barlow vs the priest was satisfying. I thought it paced the narrative as best as you could ask for a film. I think people said they hated the ending but I kind of felt like it worked.

Blade (1998) gave us the best opening scene of all time.

Search your feelings you know it to be true. Sexy, electric, and primal even the most pretentious and performative bow down to stylish indulgence of the Blood Rave. Pumpkin spice hit the Starbucks menu and the Autumnal atmosphere has got me at my best.

Are you ready Whalefall (2026)?

I was super excited by the trailer I saw earlier this summer. I think this is the coolest setting for a survival I have ever heard of, and I think the setting is due for a banger. I wonder if they will play with the biblical Jonah eaten by a fish and/or the classical Moby Dick... Also I'm sorry I am brainrotten, but it looks like they want it to go for as real as possible which I like, but there is no way you stay alive being swallowed by a whale right?

The biggest mistake in the entire franchise

Was fumbling Melissa and losing Sam Carpenter's story line. Scream 6 gave us a more fleshed out Sam and it was amazing. A beautiful subversion of the 'survivor girl and ' a graceful depiction of feminine rage and empowerment. I found her likable without being a cinnamon roll or insisting upon being liked. Then you complete the trilogy by having her turn Ghostface in an amazing subversion of the 'Ghostface' trope. I think it was the only chance the franchise had of making a movie better than the original. I get people didn't love 5 or 6, and I get they were tired of the legacy plot line (and yet also don't like deviation). I think if 7 had gone in that direction it would've tied off the trilogy into something impressive that came off better. A trilogy paying tasteful homage to the source while still evolving.

Luciane Buchanan gave an incredible performance as Thya in Evil Dead Burn that I don't think got enough appreciation

Completely overshadowed by the divisiveness of the overall film, and the popularity of other films at the time. I thought she was electric, convincing, and stole the spotlight. She headlined the second act which was definitely the best part of the movie! Can I get some love on this?

Please tell me I'm overreacting...

... Because this is absolutely true.

About a month ago I noticed a web, kitty cornered between the passenger window and side mirror of my Ford Ranger. Live and let live I figured. Curiously, it actually remained there for weeks. It has rained, the door gets used, I've driven on the highway across multiple states, and yet every time I check it's either still there or restrung. I kinda started to look forward to seeing signs of the fella and even sort of invited it to live on my truck. Like a pet. I thought.

Tonight I was driving home through some back country roads from visiting my brother, when a clawed hand crawled across my windshield on the inside. Between a small amount of moonlight briefly breaking through the treeline, and my brain rationalizing, I realized it was a MASSIVE spider. It was palm sized with four VERY long legs and four smaller ones that moved one at a time in an unnerving fluid-like motion that seemed fast and slow. From what I could make out it might have been black but it was very dark. It had an absolutely swollen, globelike, abdomen and was carrying a FUCKING EGGSAC!!!! Before I could come to a decision the whole thing disappeared into the darkness of a crevice of my truck.

The rest of the way home I had my phone light out with one eye scanning for movement and leaning away from that side of the vehicle. I keep feeling tickled across my skin on random patches and every time my heart pounds and I'm sure it's something crawling on me. Was it my spider? I don't feel any better in my house I know they followed me in here plus I be seen some in the house before. I feel defiled everything I own feels defiled I don't have time for a deep clean in the middle of my work week. I can't even sit on the toilet without feeling it beneath me. Now I'm laying in bed in the darkness and I just know they are hatching and crawling beneath my bed and on my sheets. Every time I move my phone light I can just barely see the outline of a true monster the size of a dog standing over me, considering with alien eyes and the cold blood of a reptile they are going to crawl in my mouth when I sleep fuck fuck fuck I need FIRE!

But the casting was so good

Obviously a Haunting level adaptation of what is Jackson's actual peak is ambitious but did anyone else love the casting of Merricat and Constance, like, aura wise
