Hi, I’m from India and I’m kind of new to the findom kink and community both. Right now, I only have one sub at the moment, but I do want to get more.
I’m still knowing things out and sometimes I’m not sure where or how to post without getting flagged or banned from normal subs, which gets really frustrating.
I wanted to ask how do you guys usually promote yourself or get their work out there on different platforms? (I don't wanna post my face btw not really comfortable with that also not willing to do nudes and stuff idk if it has to be a part) But I just wanna know
Also, if there are any India-based communities, that would be even better since it’s easier for me to manage payments/cash stuff.
Any advice would be great
Now I just got to know that for the longest time i thought the clapping was actually two peas and i thought whoever that put that was so cute ! ( There is a pea keychain that i had been seeing everywhere i thought it was something like that ) 😭 Only today when I stumbled upon this subreddit and saw zoomed in versions of the rewards I got to know that these are not peas 😭😭😭 ( peas of a pod stick together )
I’ve been posting about my social media management services on a few subreddits, mostly sharing my journey and experiences as a new freelancer.
I have 2+ years of real-life experience in this field, but I only started freelancing seriously this year. Right now I’m mainly working through Upwork, and I’ve set my rate at $13/hr for graphic designing for social media content + social media management.
Whenever I mention my rate, the reactions are really mixed. Some people straight up troll me, but most say I’m charging too less.
The thing is, I don’t really feel like I am. I’m from a third-world country, and for me this rate feels reasonable especially if I can get consistent hours.
At the same time, I’ve had multiple people tell me that clients might not be approaching me because my rate is low that it can actually be a turn-off and people associate lower pricing with lower quality work. That’s where I get confused.
Because when I’m on Upwork, most of the jobs I see hardly pay more than $20/hr at max anyway. So if I increase my rate, I feel like I’ll just get even fewer responses. It’s not like I’m getting flooded with clients right now either.
The bigger issue is that I currently have 2 contracts one in progress and one already done , but they’re only 3–4 hours per week each. So overall I’m still earning very little, which honestly gets demotivating at times, especially on already saturated freelancing platforms.
Now all these opinions have kind of put me in a dilemma I actually undercharging, or is this fair for my skill level and situation?
Also, small side thing: One client gave me a 5-star rating but didn’t write anything. For some reason, I feel like that makes my profile look worse? Not sure if that’s just in my head.
If anyone is open to reviewing my portfolio or sharing honest advice, I’d really appreciate it.
