The Crew series, had a very interesting storyline. Although this series only lasted 7 issues, it gained a cult following . This was Rhodes only Superhero team that he put together by himself. This was during a time when Rhodes had broken close ties with Tony Stark and ventured off to build his own marine salvage business called Rhodes Recovery. He ended up losing his business to mismanagement, and later found out his sister was murdered. Rhodes was bankrupt and was no longer in possession of the War Machine armor at this time . He decided to build a crew capable of bringing down the huge street gang responsible for the murder of his sister.

There were three heroes in his crew:

JOSIAH X:
Josiah X is the son of Isaiah Bradley. In the 2025 Sam Wilson, Captain America comic series, he became The Shadow Soldier. He currently has Darkforce energy. Darkforce energy is a extra dimensional power from the Darkforce Dimension. It can absorb heat, light, energy, and life forces. Darkforce energy can also be molded into solid shapes like weapons. Those with Darkforce can even enter the realm to teleport between locations.

KEVIN "KASPER" COLE:
Kevin "Kasper" Cole is known as a White Tiger. He is separate from the White Tigers like Hector Ayala and Ava Ayala, who use the Tiger amulet. Instead, Kasper is an acolyte of Wakanda, and is sort of a Black Panther in training. Kevin is also a NYPD officer in Harlem, and uses firearms with rubber bullets, energy daggers and anti metal claws that can break down any known metal. He was also given an artificial heart shaped herb, that gave him the agility and strength of the black panther.

DANNY VINCENT AKA JUNTA:
Danny is a gravity manipulating, super spy, he's also a mercenary and operative. He worked for the NSA , and has ties with other government agencies, as well as organized crime like the Russian mob. He uses a belt that disrupts gravitational fields of his quantum singularity, he can bend away from or warp the path of incoming projectiles, walk on walls or ceilings and slow his rate of falling. He can create force fields, and his quantum singularity also makes opponents disoriented, and violently nauseous by just touching him. He also has a floating robot he calls Ma. It can interface with other computer systems and it has a powerful laser that can destroy the weapons of opponents.

The War Machine armor actually does decent against adamantium( War Machine #6 1994 ). This was when War Machine was fighting Deathtoll in his first series. Now, of course, this was an adamantium jacketed bullet from a handgun. An adamantium tipped high-powered rifle round would have done much more damage. But the War Machine armor does give Rhodes a degree of protection. His newer armors might do even better. But I doubt most writers will acknowledge this detail.

I saw the Spiderman Brand New Day movie last night. There were a couple of things that I would have liked to see more of in the movie, but overall, I was satisfied with the outcome. For weeks, I kept seeing rumors of Punisher having the armor in the movie. Well, I can say they were just that... rumors. Frank did not have the War Machine armor in the movie.

Although i would have liked to see Punisher in the armor, It wouldn't have made sense. Hulk regularly shreds the Hulkbuster, so standard Ironman armors would have little chance. Plus, it would have reflected poorly on Don Cheadle's James Rhodes.

But I would love to see them both together in a movie. Give Frank an older War Machine armor that's still fully capable. And give James Rhodes a new cutting edge suit. I would be interested in seeing these two highly experienced veterans working together. They would definitely clash at times because of their different thinking and ideology. But it would make for an interesting dynamic.

Next up on the topic of Rhodes allies is Parnell jacobs. Parnell was Rhodes best friend before meeting Tony. They were close friends , and they always had each other's back no matter the situation. But eventually, because of Parnells shady dealings, they split as close friends.

Parnell later found the Model 2 War Machine armor, fought Ironman, and briefly took out Captain Marvel. With the help of Sunset Bain, he was able to give the Model 2 its first Hulkbuster like upgrade.

He also worked with Rhodes again in the War Machine Dark Reign series. Rhodes mentioned that Parnell knew the War Machine armor better than anyone besides Tony himself.

Parnell is also very knowledgeable with upgrading Stark tech. He was able to help out by fixing and upgrading the Model 4 War Machine armor. He also provided Rhodes with valuable Intel to help him in completing his mission.

Seeing how this is a everything War Machine space, I'll post some of Rhodes closest allies outside of Stark. This is Rhodes niece Lila Rhodes. She came out two years before Riri Williams, but she has been hidden in the shadows since Riri's rise in popularity. Lila is a teenage genius.

She could easily modify and build stark tech armor, and in an alternate universe, she had advanced past building armor and was building giant mechs in order to boost her abilities against her opponents. She is definitely someone who I could see popping up around Rhodes if he ever found himself in need of major repairs, and Tony was not available.

Soaring to #700! Tony Stark is approaching his 700th issue milestone! Ironman will hit comic shops twice a month beginning in December and featuring two new alternating story arcs from writer Joshua Williamson and artists Carmen Carnero and Gleb Melkinov.

Incarcerated Ironman Part 1 and War Machines Part 1 will kick off a new era for Tony and the rest of the Marvel universe!

I was trying to put some custom scales on my Demko AD20.5. Well, this thing is a nightmare! The scales are nice quality, but I had to do some dermeling to make some of the holes a bit wider. It was a pain to get some of the parts to line up correctly . And then I shot the Shark Lock spring across the room and lost it! 🙄 I'll have to order some more springs tomorrow. Note to self: Be very careful with the spring next time!
