Goldtex residents are living in 85° plus temps and the city isn’t doing anything. Anyone have a similar experience? How can they be allowed to operate if the place is uninhabitable? I don’t get it… maybe someone else can explain it better.

Remove the Mayor of Philadelphia from office

Philadelphia's open data initiative was supposed to help residents understand their neighborhoods and know their rights.

Instead, it's being weaponized to inflate rents and mislead tenants, with city leadership allegedly turning a blind eye or making it worse.

I built 4philly.net to clarify this data for the community—to actually help people. But what started as empowerment has become a tool for exploitation.

Renters are being hit with inflated prices, false property information, and property managers working without real accountability.

I started a petition calling for the Mayor's removal from office. Whether through deliberate action or negligence, our city's leader has failed to protect residents from these deceptive practices. We deserve transparency and honesty from the people running our city, especially on something this fundamental.

Has this happened to you or someone you know? Are you frustrated watching open data meant to help us get twisted into something that hurts our neighbors?

If this matters to you, consider signing and sharing the petition. Real change starts when enough people say they've had enough.

When an OSINT Specialist is asked to provide evidence of his own housing situation.

Evidence of this level of retaliation as a the victim of a hate crime… where they tried to overwhelm me with continued acts to disrupt me… it built a record. This is a way to show it.

This unlike anything I’ve dealt with, hard to do, but needed.

# 4PHILLY.NET — one unified Philadelphia property record

Type any address or OPA number. Get business licenses, open violations, violation history, and 311 complaints — pulled live from the city's own data.

**The trick:** every data point is pulled from *both* Eclipse (the authoritative L&I backend behind li.phila.gov) *and* Carto (the historical mirror at phl.carto.com). When they disagree, 4PHILLY flags it. Eclipse always wins.

This matters because the two drift. License expirations, status changes, and new complaints appear in Eclipse before — sometimes long before — Carto catches up. A landlord can be operating on an expired license while the public open-data feed still shows **Active**. 4PHILLY catches that.

Runs entirely in your browser.

- No server
- No analytics
- No account

Your lookups don't leave your device except to hit the city's public APIs.

Built as a civic tool for Philadelphia tenants.

It’s a work in progress.
The repo is here… any issues… let me know.
Version 1.0 is almost ready.
But for now, it works well.
