I was thinking of getting a 3d printer to help make armor and props but I'm wondering if y'all design your armor/props from scratch and scale it to you or find someone's creation and modify it to you
Idk about you but if i tank a full combo and survive on 500 hp im spamming everything in my arsenal to get the fuck outta there
Cosplay rescue line is 35-50 minute wait so ima just check Reddit. I need to glue my scabbards to but swords because they keep falling out
I usually grab an energy drink, water, and a couple sandwiches to last me the day but atp I'm getting a little tired of hauling that stuff around and keeping it out of sight when cosplaying.
I've been cosplaying maybe a few years now mostly for conventions but I wanted to try using wigs since buying them ready to use is kinda expensive for me. Im worried of buying something low quality (tangles easily/ made of cheap plastic) or spending too much money on something that's just not worth the price. Anyone got a go to place? (ships to the USA)
I've been to otakon for about 5 years now and I run into the same dilemma every year, I'm not 18 so I can't go to any funny panels (still salty about missing the hear me out panel last year) and most after parties are 21+ due to alcoholic beverages. so im just wondering if there's any after parties that'll let me in
I've been making my own cosplays for as long as I've been going to conventions, mostly because I've seen so many people make their own and haven't seen many congoers buy cosplays, but this year I just haven't had enough time, so do people actually care whether it's from amazon or something rather than hand sewn?
I've been to several cons now and some repeating ones. all of my badges have gotten different lanyards from repeating cons I was wondering if Otakon recycles lanyards or uses fresh ones every year
This is the link on the otakon instagram post but maybe its because I’m on my phone but i don’t see tickets in the workshops page of leap year and can’t find the waivers anywhere
I've wanted to go for years but always too hesitant to go, I usually attend otakon solo so I never have anyone to take pics with me, but I wanted to go to a cosplay coordination this year to take pics. Does anyone know how I can get pics of myself without paying a fortune for a photographer? especially since I'm going alone and don't trust people enough to hand off my phone to someone I just met
I usually shoot raw only and edit in post but lately I've found a lot of people talking about only shooting JPEG and doing the editing in their camera whether it's a sony, canon, or fuji. Maybe I haven't taken enough time to see what my a6400 can do with in-camera editing but is it really better if you just need the photos to be quick and look good enough?
(this is a stock image cuz im lazy to take a picture of mine)
On the top right next to the screen there's a joystick thing looking like it would be used to adjust autofocus, but the 30D is a DDSLR with not many focus points. I've tried messing around with it but can't figure out what on earth this is for
I just ordered my badge maybe because I ordered it at 1am or something but it's been an hour and I haven't seen any signs of a confirmation email or receipt. I thought they were supposed to send out a qr code or something like all the other years
