User friendly enough for 84 yr old?

I have an 84 yr old Dad that is 70% deaf, legally blind, and a stroke patient. He still uses an old straight talk flip phone. I’d like to get him a HomePod to sit next to his recliner to speak to, ask Q’s, and call people. I’m worried that bc he doesn’t have a smart phone, he won’t be able to call from the HomePod. I have an iPhone. Can I set up his HomePod and setup and download family/friend/emergency #’s on it using my AppleID and will he be able to talk through the HomePod like a phone? Sorry if I sound dumb.

Staying overnight in PCola soon. My child is seeing a doctor at Nemours Pediatric Hospital off North Davis Highway. Which Hilton is the closest? Is it the one called Tru? Thanks friends.

Found while cleaning elderly fathers house. For sewing maybe? Or for blood work? Genuinely have no idea what it is

White container that opens to reveal 6 skinny black ….thingies. There is room for 8 thingies, 2 are gone. Snaps shut
