That’s enough for today.

After waiting about 45 minutes to log in I finally got in and starting killing mobs on my 26 warrior. Gameplay started to get super choppy. After 10ish minutes online I dc’d while in combat. Logged back on with 8% health and health potted and survived.

That’s enough for today. See you maybe tomorrow or whenever my fear is gone.

Technical Support - Graphics Card Error/Mismatch

I have played WoW on my 2020 MacBook Pro for about 3 years. I’ve played Classic, Hardcore, Cataclysm, and TBC with zero issues.

Just the other day I got an error message in Battlenet launcher and in-game saying there is a graphics card error / mismatch. It now takes a much longer time to log in, and it seems to have a hard time rendering the graphics while booting up. Eventually I can get into the game. But I’ve had multiple crashes while logging on and in game. Also all of my addons say “out of date” even though they are updated in CurseForge. Battlenet gets auto updates but my Mac is set to NOT auto update.

I was recently on MacOS 14 Sonoma. Ran the game very smooth and for multiple years. I got the error message while on this OS. I updated to Tahoe 26 and it still has the same graphics issue, but with no error message.

I have troubleshot many different ways:
-Turned off advanced graphical features
-Forced Metal Legacy compatibility in launcher
-Renamed Cache, Interface, and WTF filed to CacheOld, InterfaceOld, and WTFOld
-Manually switch graphics API in game
-Cleared Mac caches
-A complete de-install / install of Battlenet and WoW

Laptop details:

2Ghz quad core intel core i5
Intel iris plus graphics 1536 mb
16gb 3733 mhz lpddr4x
Tahoe 26.5.2

(My storage says I have around 309GB available of 499GB).

Looking for any sort of help, thanks.
