So I love hiking and I’m not new to this hobby so when someone stops me and wants to ask me something I’m usually very open to answer if I can. This time, I have reached the summit point and as I was walking around I heard a girl with a group of friends, who were all laughing, trying to catch my attention by yelling “girl, hello, girl” I turn to them and wait for her to tell me what she wants, she burst out laughing and then says “hey, we have a bet going on so I wanted to ask you how old are you?”. Tbh, I felt very bad, first because I felt like in middle school getting bullied by the cool girls and also because I was having a good time, enjoying the view while someone decided to point out one of my biggest insecurities: I look really young. I’m in my 20s, but without makeup up I don’t look 18 to a lot of people. So as a response, I just said what the hell and kept walking. She yelled again that it is just a question, no harm in it. I felt kinda bad after and tbh I still feel bad about the event.
