22re timing chain

Hello all!

My 1995 Toyota pickups timing chain snapped when I turned the engine over in my driveway. I assumed full rebuild but my mechanic said I got super lucky and since I was pretty much idling, no damage was done. Just had to do timing chain/ etc and some other stuff I can’t remember. Any of yall had this happen, car does have a louder “tick” sound and mechanic said compression is slightly off because of a cylinder head got a little nick in it. If this has happened to any of you how much longer did the engine go for? Did I really get lucky or am I in trouble?

Need true Vegas local food recs

It’s my first time in Vegas as a real adult and will be there for just a few days with my partner! Don’t have a crazy bankroll so not too expensive or anything. I really want to try to the spots that people from the area like not tourist trap strip restaurants, I love all food but especially Asian food!
