DPH survey.

Anybody else gone through their survey and found it absolutely awful this year? Not in a ohmygod we’re doing everything wrong way, more of a holy shit they want to see absolutely every and any thing. intense was not even the word.

AIO? Weddings are couples events if a plus 1 is welcome.

Boyfriend of almost 2 years has a few weddings that he’s invited to before the end of the fall (plus 1s welcome) and he wants to go alone. I’ve made the statement weddings are generally a couples thing if you’re in a relationship, which his friends also chimed in and agreed with.

The weddings are for people he used to be friends with/close with who happen to be friends of exes, who will most likely be in attendance. Am I overreacting to assume he wants to be alone around women he’s been with before, and to kind of draw a boundary about attendance to said weddings?

And no, he gives no good reason for me not to attend. There is no date conflicts or anything along those lines.

Nursing home managers burnt out. All of them.

I work in a SNF facility as an activities director. We’re a nonprofit 130 bed facility. Every day every manager is at their breaking point (including myself). Is this just healthcare now? 🫤

QAPI projects, DPH survey prep, never ending audits & MDS work all for the show on paper while CNAs refuse to help transport and do care and administration ignores valid requests and needs.

Is anyone in this field for the patients and residents anymore. I’ve been on this career path for 11 years and thought it was my life’s calling and now I feel like im standing at the edge of a cliff because this is NOT how the wheels turned a decade ago.

Hugs.

I want to give virtual hugs and love to every person in this thread, silently reading comments, posting, hurting, hungry, without a home.

I am so sorry the world is this way and I am so sorry that lack of money controls our every move.

I hope everyone here gets a breath of peace today, mentally, financially, something, even if only for a second.

The delusion is rampant

I haven’t done an order in 2 yrs. I randomly check the app to see if anything of worth pops up.
To know that the closest Costco to you is almost 50 miles away and would require traveling in Boston commute traffic on the way back, and not tip.

Everybody that places an order through a delivery app should be forced to complete one order first. this is insanity.

Happy tears, very warm heart

White microwave rice & expired tortilla chips, with a side of warm starbies.

Opposite of a sad vent. I (26f) want to scream about my boyfriend (27m) from the rooftops. I have a 6 yo son, life is just insane for us (we live together, bills are billing, life is lifing.) but he always always makes the most effort for my son and I.

Specifically, today is my sons field day, he graduates kindergarten this month. Im at work and unable to attend, school waited last minute to let parents know so boyfriend is on his way to the school so my son has a parent there, completely unprompted and all on his own. (His bio father is….. words I don’t care to type) and I’m sitting here wanting to cry happy tears bc we are just so lucky and blessed and I wanted to share a happy emotional moment with the class.

From someone who never thought I’d type something like this, to any moms doing the damn thing alone thinking they’ll be doing it alone forever, things might be shitty as shit today but it gets better, randomly, unexpectedly, slowly… it gets better. 🤍
