Help with hair care products

I’ve been dealing with a bad scalp psoriasis flare for a couple months and I’ve finally got it under control. However, about 1/4 of my hair has fallen out. I’ve stopped using pretty much all of my hair care products other than a hair mask 2-3x a week in fear that it would worsen my flare up. My hair is down to my butt and is super dry. I stopped using any oils, treatments or detanglers other than the hair mask. Does anyone have any tips or products that they use on their hair (for strong/healthy/soft hair) that doesn’t seem to worsen psoriasis?

Should I change majors? Urgent

I’m currently majoring in Applied Biological Science at Arizona State University but I messed up. I didn’t realize until now that this degree is mainly ecology/animal science. It still offers all the normal biology courses like physiology and genetics but a lot of the courses are more animal/plant based than human. If I applied to an MLS post-baccalaureate program, would I be accepted (if I complete all the required pre-reqs)? Or should I change my major to a Biological Science (a more traditional biology degree)? I’m nervous I’ll be rejected from these post-baccalaureate MLS programs if my major is mainly ecology and not entirely traditional biology. Note that changing degrees would probably postpone my graduation by a year but I’m willing to do that if I need to.
Edit: I’ve also completed an associates in biology natural sciences and about 3/4 of the way through my bachelors degree already, so restarting with an MLT/MLS associates or bachelors would be a lot and idk if that’s the avenue I want to go down. I think I’d rather stick with the ABS or switch to the Biological Science degree if necessary.

Some input ASAP would be great, as I’m supposed to be moving near the campus that the ABS degree is at and just signed the lease, but haven’t moved yet. I might still have time to pay to get out of the lease and change majors and therefore campuses if necessary, but I need to act fast since I’m supposed to be moving in less than 2 weeks.

Should I change majors? Urgent

I’m currently majoring in Applied Biological Science at Arizona State University. I messed up big time and didn’t realize that this degree is focused on ecology. It still covers general biology and such, but has many required courses for ecological based studies. If I apply to a post-baccalaureate program for MLS, would I still be accepted (given that I complete all the required pre-req courses for the program)? Or do I need to change my major to something like ?Biological Sciences (a more traditional biology degree)? I’m scared that these post-baccalaureate programs might reject me if my degree isn’t traditional biology/biomedical.
Edit: I’ve already completed my associates in biology natural science and am about 3/4 of my way through my Applied Biological Science degree. Changing majors will likely postpone my graduation another year but I’m willing to do that if necessary.

Some input ASAP would be amazing, as I just signed a lease for an apartment near the campus where the ABS degree is located at, but I haven’t moved yet. If I need to change majors and therefore campuses, I might still have time to pay to get out of the lease but I’m supposed to move in less than 2 weeks so I need to make my decision fast. I can’t speak with an advisor until next week and I don’t know what to do.

Cute but concerning blep

I moved away from home about a year ago, and my grandmother just sent me a picture of our cat. It’s cute, but something seems off. All of our cats are declawed (my grandfather forces us to, I have no say in the matter and have tried to educate him the best I can but to no avail. I’ve tried to stop my family from getting more cats but also to no avail). We have cats next door that have fought with ours in the past. Every cat of ours has gotten seriously injured, as my family lets them go outdoors with no supervision all day every day, sometimes even overnight. I was the only one in the household who ever took them to the vet.
Am I warranted in bothering my grandmother to take him to the vet? She sent me this photo last week and I only now saw it, so I’m worried. Something just does not look right, but I don’t know if I’m over thinking it.

Weird confession

So I’ve pulled out my hair for many years, but I have a weirder secret- I put my hair in my ears. Not only do I just put the hair in my ear, I twirl it on my eardrum (and it’s loud, to the point other people can hear it). I’ve done it since I was about 6, and I’m now 22. I’ve recently only been doing it in one ear after the other ear had fluid behind the eardrum (upper respiratory infection). I’ve been getting sharp pains in my ear drum, I have horrible tinnitus, and I think my hearing is fading. Every time I try to stop, it never works. My boyfriend tries to tell me to stop when he notices, but I’ve gotten a lot better at hiding it. I’m posting about this mainly because I’m curious if anyone else has ever done this, maybe get some advice on how to stop, or at least the very least try to hold myself accountable to stop. If I don’t stop, I know in 10 years I’m going to be in a lot of pain and hard(er) of hearing, so I need to stop and soon. I do it for hours a day, and don’t know what to do from here. I’m pretty sure I have a sensory disorder and this is just a self soothing action, but it’s become an addiction. I need help, but I don’t know where to find it and how to go about it. Slight silver lining is I stopped pulling the hair out about 5 years ago, but I use the end of my hair and am constantly pulling at it, so I have a bald spot from traction alopecia. This sub helps me a lot, and I just wanted to fess up to people who might somewhat understand (if you don’t though and are judging me that’s okay, I judge me too lol it’s a weird habit). If anyone has any suggestions to help stop, I’d greatly appreciate it.

I also put my hair up my nose to make myself sneeze and also in my eyeball. Just had to get everything out on the table if I’m going to really fess up.

I miss my old life (vent)

I’ve had scalp psoriasis since I was 11, but about 6 months after I moved from Hawai’i to Arizona last year I developed really bad GI issues that made me stop drinking or partying. A couple months later I got the worst psoriasis flare up I’ve ever had. I was on and off clobetasol for weeks, and have now been on zoryve for about a month. The flare up was fairly under control and my GI issues have pretty much gone away, so I drank a bit for about 3 nights a week ago because it was my boyfriends birthday and we never celebrated my birthday from April either. I know I probably overdid it a bit, but I hadn’t drank or partied in 6 months. After the third night, I noticed my scaling was back like it was before I started the steroids. The itching isn’t bad, but the scaling has come back pretty badly and still hasn’t gone away. I’ve always been a party girl, I used to smoke weed every day until I had to stop per GI doctors orders and now smoking gives me horrible panic attacks. I used to drink a bunch, probably too much, and I don’t want to go back to that. However, I really miss partying and enjoying a couple drinks on the weekend. I know it’s not the healthiest, but I really miss my old life. My boyfriend also drinks a lot, so it’s hard watching him live life the way we used to together. He’s said he’s going to slow down drinking because of how it makes me feel, but I feel guilty that he feels like he has to stop just because I have to. I know in the long run it’s healthier and all that, but he and I just turned 22. We’re young adults that enjoy to party. I’m in my last year of college, and I feel like I can’t party at all anymore. Being around others when they get to drink and I can’t just makes me super depressed, so I’ve isolated a lot more. I just miss how life was before I got sick and before this flare up. I want to have my old life back and be able to enjoy partying again. It was so nice to be able to have a couple drinks again, I felt like my old self. It feels like the floor keeps getting taken out from under me, as every time I think things are better, they just get worse again. I mourn what I’ve lost so badly. I just want to feel like a normal young adult again.

Wellbutrin causing flare up?

I started 150mg XL Wellbutrin at the end of December last year, and started having a flare up earlier this year. It was at its worst in the middle to end of March. I’ve been on and off clobetasol and zoryve since then, but they haven’t been able to fully kick my flare up. I was wondering if anyone else has had their psoriasis worsen with starting Wellbutrin?

On a side note, I did become severely ill with GI issues at the end of December and throughout January (I was eating 300-500 calories a day for about 3 weeks). I started getting better around the beginning of March. We still have no idea why, I’ve had every test under the sun and all that’s come up was a positive test for SIBO at the end of April. I’m pretty much fully better now though and able to eat over 2,000+ calories again. Although my psoriasis isn’t much better, so I don’t think it was solely due to malnutrition. Just trying to go through everything and see if any new changes like medications could be contributing to my incurable flare up.

Worsening psoriasis

I started Wellbutrin 150 XL at the end of December of 2025 for depression. I also have scalp psoriasis, however it’s been generally manageable my whole life. My psoriasis started flaring up at the beginning of this year, however it was at its worst during the middle to end of March. I’ve been on and off clobetasol and zoryve since, however nothing seems to be kicking the flare up. I’ve started to look into the Wellbutrin possibly contributing to my flare up, and was curious if anyone else has had a similar experience or possibly some insight on if this could be related. I have an appointment with my psychiatrist on Monday and will be bringing it up with her as well, but just wanted some input from others. :)
