I know that Laura has a contract with an actual publisher so I’m assuming they forwarded her an advance and then a second payment upon the completion of her book? Something like that?
I’m starting to think that books just don’t pay much anymore. This is her 3rd book and her books haven’t done horribly. Yet she still acts broke AF. Are book royalties pretty bad now?
I just know there is someone in the biz here who has the inside scoop on the reality of this industry.
I rarely order from Shein but needed some cheap solutions for an upcoming wedding. The package arrived and, as the title explains, the package was full of moths.
I freaked out and dumped the whole thing into my garbage can outside. I hate insects and the thought of infecting the rest of my closet really freaked me out. I have since ordered those sticky moth traps from Amazon and have them hanging everywhere as I’m so stressed about the moths reproducing and moving in.
At this point I’m not sure what to do. Do I bother emailing Shein with nothing to return? I’m out over $100 bucks and kinda bummed about it in general. I regret not just leaving it outside until I could properly deal with it.
Trust that is the last thing I’ll be ordering from them ever again.

I want to create a snack/drink bar for our many weekly delivery drivers. What is the best thing to include? Water? Soda? Gatorade? Energy drinks like Rockstar or Redbull? I want it to be easily refillable with my weekend Costco run. And for snack, protein bars maybe? Chips? Beef jerky? Not sure. Was hoping to get opinions from those in the field so that I can actually make it useful while also expressing gratitude!

It’s going to get to the point that when everyone has their hand out from the delivery driver to the donuts shops, eventually NO ONE is going to get voluntarily tipped, including roles where it’s been customary for decades.
