Trunk Malfunction

Has any one had the trunk shut on you while you were putting something in it? Instinctively I put my hand up to stop it from coming down on me and I heard a click….now it won’t open.

Why after 1 coat of ceiling paint, does my ceiling have stripes??

***edited to add - this is not new mud or new ceiling…prior to painting it did not have stripes

Used Sherwin Williams ProMar ceiling pure white
