Toilet breaks

It’s 2am and I can’t sleep, suddenly remembered this.

During the show, Kevin’s toilet break to go from the main stage to the B stage was actually really cool. But did he actually go to the toilet? Or did he just stand there while being streamed to the big screens?

Just curious

Why are some so against people singing at concerts?

With Daniel Caesar starting his tour in Asia, I’ve seen so many posts online about people complaining about others singing nearby.

What is the problem with singing along? I get that it can be obnoxious at some points but with the clip they posted it was very normal singing… isn’t part of concerts about the atmosphere? I mean if you just wanted to watch and complain you could do that at home by watching videos of live performances

This isn’t the first time I’ve seen people complaining about others singing at concerts, am I missing something? I understand in some concerts for certain genres of music the norm is to sit and watch, but in all the concerts I’ve been to, the whole crowd sings and is vibing loudly. For Daniel Caesar specifically I’ve also seen a lot of posts of everyone harmonising so this can’t be an explanation

Personally I think that if you record you’re probably very likely going to end up picking up someone’s voice in the background anyway, so why not let that be you and just enjoy the vibe?

I was just at a concert few hours ago. I remember all the vibes, the songs, the light, the bass, a lot of it. But for some reason for a lot of parts I don’t even remember what I actually saw.

I recorded small parts of the concert and for some reason I only remember when I was watching through my phone, trying to focus the camera, and not what was in front of me!!! Despite the fact that once I got my camera in focus I held it to my side and watched the actual concert in front of me

Anyone else experience this? This happens every time I go to a concert. I’ve seen some talk about it but there has to be an explanation

This happened today (1/5/26) around 8pm.

I was sat outside the station waiting for the bus, on those seats near the big ad screen.

Two suspicious looking people came from the station road side, where it leads to friar street and broad street (somehow I’m really good at noticing my surroundings, noticed they were being suspicious the moment they came into my field of vision)

So one of them came up to me and said “hey, can I sit here?” and starts talking about “do you know jesus”

I don’t have a problem with any kind of faith. I might be an atheist but I think people should believe what they want to - but what they seem to be doing is a straight red flag. It’s not like they’re talking to anyone, they’re seemingly looking around for vulnerable people.

(Updated - typing this as I’m here - the ”lookout” woman has started talking to people as well.)

(Update again - seems like it’s more than two people. A guy just climbed up on a pole outside the pub and started yelling)

Something shady is going on with them. Especially when one of them is talking to people and the other keeps looking around, like she’s paying attention to police or something.

I applied for a provisional license on Sunday (25/4) and on the progress checker says that my application started 26/4 and a medical notification on 27/4. I read that it usually takes 5 working days so I figured it would be enough time for it to come by the end of next week.

When I applied, I ticked the box that said that I have a condition affecting my visual acuity. I googled and found that myopia did count as a condition affecting visual acuity, so I ticked the box - however I didn't realise at the time that I didn't need to tell DVLA about it as I wear glasses.

So I did more googling and found that they're likely going to send a V1 form and it will delay my application for a few weeks. This is unfortunately problematic for me as I need some form of ID for a concert next week (and my 17th birthday is next week, so I'd love to start learning driving... the bus is annoying). I found that I could call DVLA and let them know about the mistake I made - but does anyone have any experience with them or something similar enough to know whether this will actually make a difference with my application and the chances of being able to get it by next week?

Any advice would be helpful! Thank you in advance
