I work 2 miles away and hate walking, so I got an electric bike. Now police keep stopping me randomly to check if my bike is legal. They detain me until I can prove who I am and a legal citizen. These stops can be over 10 mins long and they keep making me late.

Today I was stopped twice and the second one only let me go after confirming that I was already stopped before.

Edit: OK, to answer some questions that keep recurring;

  • No, the bike isn't exclusively for work, I also use it for leisure and other transporting needs.
  • Yes, I'm a member of my local bike collective and we do group rides around the city.
  • Yes, The bike is 100% legal and insured - and no it doesn't look like an illegal one. Bike is a Bergamont E-Revox hybrid.
  • I work in an open office so a pedal bike is out of the question, don't want to be walking in all sweaty every morning.

We all hate the the fact that cockroaches are so good at hiding, but would you really prefer them to be brazen and walk around your house like they own the place?

Didn't feel like attending a social gathering so spent the whole day trying to think up a decent excuse. When I finally gathered the courage to pick up the phone to make the dreaded "I can't make it" call, I saw a text message saying the event was cancelled because the host was ill.

This actually happened a few months ago but something happened today that remind me.

I'm running late to meet up with some friends and was about to text them that I'll be arriving around 30 mins later than agreed. When I picked up my phone I found a text saying they're running an hour late.

Ordered a 1L bottle of Bombay Sapphire as part of my Morrisons shop. They delivered a 700ml bottle instead. Free gin.

For those who don't shop online - if they deliver the wrong item, they refund you for the original item and you get to keep the wrong one.

I'm trying to get in shape for an upcoming birthday trip. To motivate myself, I bought a hoodie I really wanted, but one size too small. Hoodie arrived yesterday and it fits perfectly.

I'm I allowed to return clothes because they fit?

If I somehow went into space and retrieved abandoned hardware, e.g. Musk's Tesla Roadster or the Lunar Rover on the moon from the 70s, can I legally keep them?

Edit: Thanks for the answers everyone, appreciate it. At least now I know that if I become a filthy billionaire with too much time in my hands (like a certain South African I know) I shouldn't waste my money retrieving other people's shit from space 😆.
