Stuck at <200

Hey guys, some advice welcome here.

I am regularly able to beat the 700 bot on chess.com, and can beat ~700 players. However, the other day I lost a few games in a row which dropped me to 400ish and for some reason I can’t win against these lower players. Again, I can beat the 700 bot ~50% of the time so I don’t know why I struggle so much. I’ve continuously lost games at this lower elo over a few days, not just one session and I’m down to 178 blitz.

How good is the shield tv pro in 2026?

I’m moving into a new apartment and planning on getting the sceptre tv without any built in ad riddled crap. How is the shield tv pro working out now? It’s almost 8 years old and I was wondering if it’s still worth $200 in 2026. I don’t want anything that’s full of ads I just want to be able to stream plex and Disney plus in 4k. I’d like to use my living room PCs but unfortunately most streaming services limit the resolution to 480/720 when streaming from a pc.

What do you recommend for a streaming box?

I’ve seen that the shield tv pro is great but it’s pretty old atp since it came out in 2019. I don’t want something like a Roku or fire stick that will be riddled with ads I just want to be able to open up plex or Netflix or whatever. I’d use my living room gaming PC but pretty much all streaming services limit the quality to 480p on those for no reason. Any suggestions?

I’m planning on getting one of the sceptre tv models without any built in smart features.

Steam Deck is great

I’m on vacation for the next month and brought my deck and a dock. I’ve been playing Arkham City at 4k 60 maxxed out with zero issues. Amazing device.

I have what i think is a great idea for a VR "Desktop Environment" where instead of everything being essentially the same as on a flat screen with icons and such, files and programs could be stored in more physical ways when using a VR headset. I have exactly zero knowledge of how to get started doing something like this but I want to know before I spend way too much time on this if something like this is even possible. Thanks for your advice.
