Anyone here graduate with a degree/certification in IT with WSUTech?

If so what were the job prospects like after graduation? Did you have any troubles finding something within your field of study? How was the experience overall?

I’m interested in going for a certification in the computer specialist program but I’m worried about being able to find steady work after completion. I spoke with one of the advisors at the campus and she assured me that students don’t have issues finding a job and it’s a field that’s in demand but based on info from other subreddits and sources I’m starting to think she’s wrong…

Is it really that hard to get into the field?

I’m in my late 20s and wanting to get a fresh restart on my life, and I got a great scholarship opportunity from my state to get a IT certification. However after reading this sub I’m starting to get concerned…

I spoke with a school advisor who has some experience in the field and they assured me it’s a job in demand and the majority of the students have no problems getting a job. They had even mentioned the school works with industry partners to get students both in person and virtual interviews with potential employers after completion.

Plus I know my city is planning to build several data centers so maybe I have a good chance?

Hoping to get some reassurance….

I’m in a financial wreck and I desperately need a semi high paying job. I have no college degree, no certifications, and can’t really afford to go back to school or pay for any kind of certification.

I’m beyond tired of working retail or similar paying jobs and I check indeed daily and find that there really isn’t much out there.

What are some other sources or avenues I can check to pursue something that pays decent?

Thanks in advance, any advice is greatly appreciated
