Why is the Fleetwood Mac show not more popular?

I went on the Escape for my second time, returned today. I don’t remember it being offered on my last sailing but this sailing had a live show for the Fleetwood Mac Rumors album. This may be a hot take but it was one of the best shows I’ve seen on the ship yet, even a good bit over Choir of Man.

Absolutely amazing performance, great costume design, I dug the props, had some fun storytelling of the backstory of songs, just something I wish they did beyond only one night. I’m surprised I didn’t see anyone talking about it before my past two cruises.

Should I cancel my NCL cruise due to injury?

Context: my older sister [25 F] booked a birthday cruise for me [21 M] and her to go on. She booked last month to go on the NCL Escape leaving port Sunday afternoon.

The issue is while I am excited to go, I have a very debilitating foot injury now while makes the right side of my left foot an absolute pain to walk on, even after taking ibuprofen all day. I will give it until the morning (the pain started on Monday morning) to call it but I’m deeply considering cancelling the cruise with her. This pain got better earlier today but after trying to walk my dog, it has flared back up and it’s a sharp pain.

I really was excited to go and I’ve been on the escape before and loved it, but I really really really can’t see a situation where I wouldn’t be limping in pain, considering how much standing is required at airports, boarding the ship, and going in and out of ports. We also have no trace insurance but I’m planning on giving her my half of the fare (1250 dollars) so she doesn’t waste her money because of me.

Really sucks but again, any advice on if I should cancel? I fear I know the answer…

What's your favorite base game customization?

Any customization that you can get in game without modding

My top ones would be:

- Spectacles from S ranking Ides of March (they are just aura)
- Valley of the Dolls Hawaiian shirt (currently trying to unlock it now)
- Homage tattoo from Ends of Earth (maybe Old Glory from Ides of March as second place)
- Gas mask you unlock from completing the game (I think it's the '99 Mask?)

P.S.: I wish they made customizables for Hunger Strike & Stolen Valor, even if it's a mascot chicken head or an Iraq veteran hat or something.

Twisted Nerve vs Stolen Valor?

These two are pretty similar settings, iirc take place on the same night, and are often compared.

I feel like there isn't really an overall favorite community-wide between the two, though?

Pros of TN:

- Open design and more nooks and crannies
- More objectives
- Tunnel fighting!

Cons of TN:
- More of a basic map (i.e. no traps)
- Less of a story than SV in terms of who the folks we fight are
- Censorship with the kid's room

Pros of SV:
- Three floors make for more interesting fighting
- Traps make you more careful
- 213 Park Lore is more heavy handed here than in TN

Cons of SV:
- Traps can be anonying
- Outside combat can be a bit rough if enemies spot you from upper floor
- Less objectives to find
- Smaller map overall with less places to check

For me, I'd say it's a toss up but I think currently I prefer Stolen Valor a touch bit more than Twisted Nerve. How about y'all?

Quieter parts of Nashville | Edited in DT

Recently been trying to add more saturation into my work, since I notice that a lot of my stuff tends to be a bit flatter than I’d like.

Let me know if it needs more color boosting or anything else you’d like to comment on. I know these aren’t perfect but I’m just here for the love of the game (plus the 20k steps from this walk).

Serious question, does anyone read the full source behind stimuli for fun?

I saw that they give source credits to authors of source material (for legal reasons ofc). Has anyone ever been so interested by the topic of a reading passage that they look up the full source text? For example, let’s say a reading comp was about rodeos (I didn’t get any topics like that and this is example’s sake), for someone to then research more about rodeos and ranching culture because of the RC.

I’ve always wondered since you barely get time to soak in the info for long term memory but some passages are honestly interesting (I.e. that photographer passage that they have up on LSAT demon about the lady who did stylized portraits).

Starting in-person early

I saw old Reddit threads from 3 years ago and 9 months ago that you can start your exam early if the proctors have space in person. Is that still the case? For example, if my exam is 1:15 PM but I get there a 12:05, then could I check in and start an hour ish or even thirty min early?

First time finding a spore-like(?) area with a 10 USD goodwill microscope

Sorry for the bad quality, it’s not super easy to do iPhone pics through the scope and the glass is obviously not the best (it looks pretty similar in these to what I see irl).

AmScope Kids microscope (M30-ABS-KT2-W) that goes new for 45 buck that I got for 10 at a goodwill years ago. Always collected dust after I first got it but now I use it in my study breaks.

I am an undergrad in a non-STEM field (took basic bio and Gen chem but wasn’t the best). Honestly I don’t know exactly what this is but it looks interesting!

Context: First and second photo taken at 600x and the third at 1200x, last photo is the sample in question with the part observed being a goo-like substance on the water. I hope this is somewhat interesting. This might make me buy an actually good microscope soon as a new side hobby! (:

Une journée au musée [Frist Art Museum]

Taken at the Frist Art Museum in Nashville in early March. Absolutely stunning Impressionism, and I'm surprised they let me in with my camera! Hope y'all enjoy it. If there is a lot of interest, I can show more from the set. (:

What is the Maroon 5 of RoN?

For context, there’s this semi famous Tumblr/Reddit post where OP claims that despite being a successful band with a ton of people listening, Maroon 5 isn’t truly anyone’s favorite band/artist. What would be the RoN equivalent? Like a mission that everyone for the most part likes but rarely is called a favorite?

In general, I’d say 24 MB per Sec, everyone and their grandma plays it and likes it, but I don’t think I’ve seen many people even put it in their top 3. For my personal tastes, I’d say Carriers of the Vine for me. Great map, love the layout and the concept, I just never saw it as a top favorite.

Thoughts?

I want to see how breakable my ASCII substitution cipher is

Hey Reddit,

So, I've been going down an ARG rabbithole recently and thought to code my own little cipher maker from scratch in Python (I've made them before, of course, but I want to make something stronger).

This one should be relatively easy to crack. I'll leave plaintext, but to give a hint,>! I'll leave the source too. It is based on ord-chr commands and ASCII. The other hint is that this is the opening to a famous work of literature.!<

Possibly the dumbest sounding complaint ever, but I sometimes wish I could make the side scroll bar a bit thicker since I have to manually click and drag on it (since scrolling would modify the module next to it).

Does anyone find this to be a peeve, too, or is it just me?
