I'm developing hard game about balancing on two wheels which runs smoothly on Steam Deck!

Played on Steam Deck and it feels good. I hope you also will give it a try. Hopefuly it will get Steam Deck Verified soon :)

Developing this game for 5+ month already, been experimenting with different gameplay modes. A lot of time spent on level editor, which I plan to release as update after main release. I hope to add multiplayer too one day.

It wasn't hard to optimize for Steam Deck because I use gradient texture atlas and there is a few materials for the game, also artstyle is quite simple and I tried to use lowpoly count for models as I can. Game runs through Proton.

I made a custom foliage shader for my upcoming game

Made with ShaderGraph and custom hlsl function. You can download it here.

Added car animations in the main menu so it feels more alive - I'm happy of the result.

Been playing with custom player script so I can record and replay car movement from the gameplay scene. It was quite fun to implement.

Wheel Balance - Spent 1.5 month to create level editor

Initialy I thought it would take me 2 weeks to implement - I missed it up well :D

But I am happy that I can create levels more quickly now. But the editor is currently in the alpha stage, atleast I can make base for the levels.

Currently there is only english localization. I want to release it to the public after main game release with steam workshop support.

If you want to try it out - I will DM you.

My first game on Steam almost hit 100 wishlists so far!

Soon I will participate in the "Next Fest" on Steam.
I will appreciate if you play the demo and leave any feedback!

Would you make level editor for your game? Did you use level editors in others?

I just spent a lot of time (probably 1.5 month) to make stable and easy to use (for me atleast) alpha version of level editor because it's tedius to do all in the engine editor, but also I believe someone could make their own levels too so game will live longer (if you connect Steam workshop for example, or make your own portal for the game with mods section or smth like this).

But anyway, I still not traslated level editor to other languages. It might have more functions to make more unique levels. I also afraid that in reality no one will use it, because players must reach your game first, but I'm glad that I can make base for the level quickly and then adjust it in the editor (if some functions still missing).

Now I think it speed up levels creation time to maybe x3 times, but for the 1.5month I could make the same amount as now if I used the engine editor.

In the end I was like damn, I just spent so much time on it, but did no marketing, no more actual game content and only tools for it.... Maybe I should do it after the game release (but I am more dev guy then artist or game designer)
