Have gone with the llumar ceramic tints in the past and really liked them. Decided to give XPEL a try and I’m pretty happy with them. I prefer the “charcoal” sheen the llumar’s have but the XPELs look great and keep the car cooler for sure. Would go with the llumar if my preferred installer sold them. But can’t go wrong with the XPEL. They look great.
I did 70% windshield - 20% front - 55% rear windows - 70% trunk window.
Ordered Aug. 18th and picked up Aug. 31st. It got here way quicker than expected. I think the black vs white interior helped.
It had some cosmetic issues at pick up - scratch/scuff on the driver side door, front camera has some weird yellow smudge that appears to be inside the lens, the front driver side light is misaligned with the front light bar, and the blue (tape?) can be seen sticking out where the spoiler meets the trunk. Honestly, none of the those things are a big deal - but I have a service request to fix them later this month.
Coming from an Acura MDX Type-S, I LOVE not needing to stop every 3 days for fuel. Fortunate enough to be able to home charge.
Self driving is okay, but I often take over because it’s not going the way I want or traffic is just too aggressive and I want to be in control.
Efficiency and comfort are very impressive. And damn, this thing is FAST.
Yea I’m loving it. Ceramic tints and a slew of Spigen accessories on the way.
Changing out the grip panel and the middle insert slid down. Anyone know how to fix this? And avoid it in the future? I’m guessing you don’t just brute force it back up and try and slide the magwell back on. Thanks
Sold a few pistols (Platty & Spec V you will be missed) and got my dream 2011.
It does feel like a big upgrade. Irons took up too much of the window on the Type-2.
So excited to install my RMR on my new 3.6 HD - stripped the second screw offensively bad.
I have removed stripped bolts before with an extractor kit, but I’m not gonna risk it. Calling Staccato tomorrow. I like to think I’ve learned my lesson (but I doubt it lol).
Picked this up after purchasing a platypus and the new Kimber pro comp. Both great guns but something special about the Staccato.
I put every other firearm in the safe and dedicated to training with this firearm until I really lockdown my fundamentals.
Shot my first USPSA practice shoot and had so much fun. It’s satisfying to actually start seeing meaningful progress. Definitely my favorite gun.
First Staccato. Looking forward to using it for a class this upcoming week. Took just over a month from ordering. DLC barrel and flat 3.5 aluminum trigger.
Started with a Platypus Comp, then a Kimber 2k11 Pro Comp - love both of those guns. But really wanted a non comped 2011 and decided to go with a classic P. Makes a strong first impression for sure. I managed to just about strip the screws for the 507C with a torque wrench lol.
