A Bart & Lisa episode idea

This is what I thought of for a Bart & Lisa episode, heck yet this could work as a two part episode.

This would be about Bart & Lisa having a falling-out over something (I’m not sure what exactly) and end up hating each other for real, and when this happens Homer & Marge are shocked and crushed by this. While going about, lots of the townspeople know about Bart & Lisa’s falling out feeling very down about it, and they aren’t their usual selves, heck yet even some of the villainous characters get affected by this too. This shows that Bart & Lisa’s sibling bond meant a lot, and since the bond was broken when they had the falling-out nothing has been the same since then, as Bart & Lisa’s sibling bond meant something to these people.

Homer & Marge begin to try to figure out how to get Bart & Lisa to reconcile with some help from some of the townspeople, after some attempts, the final attempt is having a song for them that describes their sibling bond and what it meant when it broke.

Bart & Lisa hear the song and they suddenly get some flashbacks about their good sibling moments, they apologize to each other and share a hug as they cry. Before the credits roll, the episode ends with a montage of Bart & Lisa sibling moments with the song playing in the background.

So that’s my idea for a Bart & Lisa episode, as I thought it would be interesting to have an episode where when they have a falling-out that causes them to hate each other, it shows that the their sibling bond meant a lot not just to their family, but to the townspeople as well.

Voice similarity

Idk about you folks, but am I like the only one who thinks Mrs Simian sounds like Brian Johnson from AC/DC? Especially when she yells as that when she sounds like him (When he sings of course).

Our brains being temporary filters to prevent us from gaining vast knowledge of the universe?

Something occurred to me, I begin to wonder if that after we die, we gain full knowledge of the universe and everything else. I see it this way, before we were born we had no knowledge of anything and when we were born, we got our brains which in my theory doesn’t store knowledge but is filtering out so much knowledge about the universe that we aren’t supposed to know about until after we die. Then after we die and we no longer have our brains, the brains will no longer filter out the vast knowledge of the universe. So maybe our consciousness does all the thinking and our brain is just a filtering device to prevent us from learning the vast knowledge of the universe until after we die?

Which also makes me wonder about our imagination & dreams, and hallucinations, the fact we state whatever is in our head is all in our head, but is it really all in our head? Or is it all in another place we are getting a glimpse of such as a higher realm that we are able to go to after we die? Which makes me believe our consciousness is still kept after we die and we will get to explore the alternate realities/realms that were projected by our consciousnesses. If that’s true, then imagine experiencing eating at some restaurants again that supposedly no longer “exist”. Why did I put that last word in quotations? This leads to my last point explained below.

One more thing I thought of that’s slightly off topic of this, is non-existence even a thing? If our imaginations/dreams are projections of alternate realities/realms, and that everything is happening all at once in the space time continuum, have we already been here since the beginning? I’m talking about before we were born, we must’ve came from somewhere (maybe just atoms at first?), and hopefully the vast knowledge of the universe we will get in the end will tell us more.

Dreams & NDEs - Same thing but one of them involves mass marketing?

So dreams and NDEs are basically the brain somewhat functioning when you’re somewhat dead, but there is something not adding up. How come when people have an NDE it’s mostly religious figures we hear about, and when people dream we hear whatever wacky stuff they had?

I somehow get the feeling the NDEs we hear from people through books, tv shows, and internet forums are a way to market the beliefs of heaven and hell, why that and not dreams? Because death is something everyone fears and someone has got to do some mass marketing to make everyone afraid and that they will comply to be good, you know, to keep the masses in control.

Why is it almost always religious figures people see when people have an NDE and not whatever wacky things we see in our dreams? Why not something else? Let’s say if I was a big Sesame Street fan and when I have an NDE, Big Bird and Snuffleupagus will be there in a tunnel of light holding the letter and number of the day, and they will lead me to an alternate dimension where Sesame Street is real and not just a show you watch on TV.

So in conclusion, I think both dreams and NDEs are a glimpse/free trial of the afterlife, but NDEs are marketed heavily by various religions and people so people comply to be good and not have a fear of death.

The possibility of traveling the universe and making our own reality

So currently our life is hardcore mode from Minecraft where if you die once, you don’t respawn and your world is gone (in this case you leave this world). I somehow get the feeling after we die we end up going into Creative mode, we fly around the universe freely and we get to set up our own universe.

There are many things that aren’t possible to do in our reality, so imagine after we die we get to set up our own realities and we get to do what we couldn’t do, maybe that’s the reward for participating in life in this reality. Somehow I like to think of this as The OASIS from Ready Player One where it’s a virtual simulation where you can do anything and go anywhere, and the only limits of reality are your imagination.

Life lessons have always been about ourselves such as proving ourselves, trusting ourselves, believing in ourselves, loving ourselves, and doing what’s best for ourselves which makes you wonder if this is what this is leading to in the afterlife, our imagination/dreams might be the afterlife and we might’ve had the answer all along if you think about it, as it sounds possible.

Odd Question

If alternate universes are real, then how come someone from an alternate universe where it’s possible to travel to other universes hasn’t made it to this one? Or did they?

And if they did come here, did they travel by UFO? If so, then that would explain why the governments are so secretive about UFOs.

A universe with different visuals

Going with the infinite universes theory, I wonder if it’s possible there are universes where the visuals have some animation style such as CGI, stop-motion, anime, etc. Because don’t you get tired of seeing the same graphics in our reality everyday?

Blue’s Birthday Adventure - Instrument Matching Sound Origins

The instrument sounds in the instrument-matching mini-game do come from Blue’s Clues episodes. But I won’t list all the instruments as I don’t know all of their sound origins (idk if all of them had origins or not), here are some to know.

Accordion
Sound 1 is from “The Trying Game” when Steve catches two juggling balls
Sound 2 is from the same episode when Steve juggles three balls

Bicycle Horn
Both sounds are sound effects from The General 6000 Sound Effects Library. Episode-wise, both sounds are from “The Trying Game” being sound effects during the music cue for the first clue.

Cello
Sound 1 might be from the third clue music cue in “Snowy Day”?

Cowbell
Both sounds are from the songs “We Are Gonna Play Blue’s Clues, “We Just Got a Letter”, and “We Just Figured Out Blue’s Clues”, mainly the second sound points to that because it’s four clanks.

Cymbals
Sound 1 might be from “What Does Blue Want To Do On a Rainy Day?” for the music cue for the first clue.

Flute
Sound 2 is from “Blue’s Favorite Song” during the instrument sound matching segment

French Horn
Both sounds are from “Blue’s News” during the Shovel & Pail treasure hunt segment

Harp
Sound 1 is from “What Was Blue’s Dream About?” when Steve skidoos out of the book and rolls on the floor.
Sound 2 is from the same episode for the music cue for the first clue

Kettle Drum
Both sounds are from “Snacktime” when Steve gets startled by the phone ringing.

Tuba
Sound 2 is the music cue from the first clue in “The Trying Game”

Violin
From “Adventures in Art” when Steve is doing the storytelling of the four paintings in the museum

Alternate realities/universes

If this isn’t the correct sub-reddit to post this, do let me know. This is about alternate realities/universes which in a way could be connected to the afterlife.

So my first take on this is that for a fact, you can not imagine a new color because it already exists, if you can’t imagine a new color then what makes you think anything else you imagine in your head hasn’t been made real? Basically anything you imagine in your head might be something that has happened in an alternate reality, I could imagine a possibility of a Marvel vs DC Comics movie in my head which would mean something like that already exists in an alternate reality, so basically anything we imagine in our heads has already happened in another universe, meaning we didn’t imagine it, we unlocked a discovery.

And if there are such things as alternate realities, how come there isn’t a person from an alternate reality that has traveled here in which the alternate universe they’re from allows them to go to other universes? It also makes you wonder about the UFOs the government talks about as well as Area 51, could UFOs have come from alternate dimensions? And why is the government so secretive about them?

With me stating whatever we imagine has happened in an alternate reality, then whenever we are dreaming means we must’ve went there somehow, which makes you wonder if your soul has traveled there meaning you temporarily die when you sleep and you get to travel the universe, like experiencing a preview.

When it comes to alternate realities here is an interesting case, get this. Suppose you misplace your keys somewhere in the house and in your mind you could’ve swore you left them on the table when you got home, then that would mean you just unlocked an alternate reality where you did leave them on the table when you got home.

You know how some people state that if you were to cease to exist you would see nothing? What is nothing? People describe it as pitch-blackness, that’s not nothing, it’s the color black which means it isn’t nothing, it’s something so therefore you can’t imagine nothing.

So in conclusion, maybe we don’t imagine anything new in our heads, we unlock alternate realities we didn’t know about until now. It really makes you wonder.

My thoughts & questions about the afterlife

So even though I am a follower in Jesus Christ, there are still some questions I have about the afterlife and religions tied to it. I might get a bit off-topic in my statement so I apologize if I do.

First thing is heaven and hell, the common religions we know of tell this, heaven is understandable but for hell, why would someone portray a place where you suffer for eternity if you did bad stuff and have no second chance unless you are saved through salvation by repenting. That’s way too dark and that’s too much fear installed in people, suppose you die suddenly and you forget to repent then you go straight to hell, that’s just scary alright. Although in real life when you do bad stuff you do get punished whether it’s being sent to your room, being betrayed, or sent to prison. The difference between those punishments and hell is that those punishments are real and can be seen on Earth, but hell is based off of interpretation and theories, so we don’t know of this hell and hell could be anything. Sure there are lots of evil people we hate and we wish they were in hell, but who knows where they actually ended up when they died.

But why is it heaven and hell that’s portrayed? We hear of ghosts that roam on Earth, and I’m not talking about information from tv shows as those are just for entertainment, so it makes you wonder if that once we die we roam wherever we want like we go into spectator-mode. Religions interpret heaven as a good place with no evil, and hell is interpreted as an evil place with no good there. Like none of those places are a mixed bag, so we should be able to go anywhere else in the universe where there is a mix of good and bad.

Another thing is that going with the ten commandments as an example where one of them is “Thou shall not bear false witness” which is basically do not lie. Is that really a commandment made? Because going with other religions who have something like this stating not to lie and we don’t know if their gods made something like that, doesn’t that become contradictory? Because we don’t know if that’s a lie or not. Also, lying is like the most common sin if you think about it, the world & society is built on lots of lies with answers we don’t know of, and some are probably better left off unknown. A lot of these religions with their interpretations of the afterlife and their own rules seem to contradict each other, so there is no telling who is right or wrong.

Now what about dreaming? It’s a brain activity but yet they feel so real, like even though we go to bed lying down then how come in our dreams it feels like we are standing up? I’ve had dreams before where it felt like I got out of my bed and explored the house to find out it was different. I begin to wonder if these “dreams” are not in our head, but we float out of our bodies and we are temporarily dead and that the afterlife is what we want our new reality to be, as in some cultures some believe dreams are a way to the spirit-world. Also, if we still have our memories after we die, did our brain store our memories? Or was it our soul?

We have heard of people having NDEs or people being temporarily dead, most stories share the same thing about seeing a bright tunnel and they see their deceased relatives. Mainly I hear it’s the brain not having enough oxygen which causes hallucinations, but what happens if a person goes to afterlife before they’re assigned a religion in reality? What do they see outside the religions we know of and probably a hundred other ones we don’t know of?

We are told there is a god who created everything, but was there only one god who did all of this? Or was there more than one god doing all of this? Now I wonder if it’s possible we might become gods/creators of our own realities when we pass on.

Final Thoughts
So with all these different religions with different portrayals of the afterlife, do we stick with one religion (going with what other people think)? Or do we go with what we think happens in the end? Like playing by our own rules I’d like to call it.

I still follow in Jesus Christ as that’s what I have always been doing, but of course there are still answers about the afterlife that are still unknown, and we won’t know any answers until we pass on.

Dreams being the afterlife

This is a theory I thought of recently. So we all know the different religions portray the afterlife in different ways, but what if dreams are the way to the afterlife as they feel so real. The fact that some of your senses can work in a dream makes it so real it and it makes you wonder.

Basically, what if the answer to what the afterlife is was in us all along before we were taught about the different religions? Did you ever think of that?

Some heartwarming Bart & Lisa sibling moments

Here are some Bart & Lisa sibling moments that are heartwarming, some of them are recognized and some I don’t think are talked about that much. What are some other heartwarming Bart & Lisa sibling moments you can think of that no one brings up a lot?

Summer of 4 Ft. 2 (S7E25) - When Bart gets Lisa’s new friends to sign her yearbook after he messed up by embarrassing her earlier in the episode. The highlight of all this is the way Lisa says “Oh, thanks Bart”, which sounds like tears of happiness were being held back, or that could just be me.

Barting Over (S14E11) - When Bart moves out of the house, he gives Lisa an Indian sunburn which happens to be in the shape of a heart.

Millhouse Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (S15E12) - Bart & Lisa being best friends after Millhouse moves away. But of course when Milhouse moves back to Springfield and when Bart is back to being best friends with him again, the moment Lisa starts crying thinking the friendship she had with Bart never existed you can really see that the friendship she had with Bart meant a lot to her before that happened. Although in the end of the episode Bart does realize his mistake and gives Lisa favor cards in which he will do favors for her.

A Star is Torn (S16E18) - Lisa singing Hush Little Baby to Bart (and the rest of the family). Also Bart saying that Lisa has a great voice for singing.

Diggs (S25E12) - This line Lisa says to Bart. “Well, sometimes it helps to know people feel for you, want a hug?”

The Hateful Eight Year Olds (S33E21) - When Bart goes to rescue Lisa from the slumber party, the first thing he does to Lisa is make funny faces to lighten her up.

Super Mario Odyssey Team - Ways of Obtaining Main Collectibles

In Super Mario Odyssey and Donkey Kong Bananza, the way you get the main collectibles was quite interesting, here is what it was like throughout those games.

Power Moons (Super Mario Odyssey) - Jump into them

Banandium Gems (Donkey Kong Bananza) - Punch them three times

Fossils (Donkey Kong Bananza) - (Not a main collectible but I’ll bring this up anyway) Destroy the terrain surrounding them

For future open-world games made by the team, it makes me wonder what could be next. Maybe in a future game there is a main collectible but in each world it’s in, the collectible is different and you obtain it in a different way whether it could be:

Hitting from below
Ground pounding from above
Hitting from the side
Pulling the collectible out of the surface
Pushing the collectible into its spot
Hitting with a ranged attack

What else can you think of?

Ideas for future Super Monkey Ball Games

Grid Based World Map - When you beat a level, the paths (solid lines) adjacent to the level you beat will be unlocked. A level beaten with a warp goal will reveal a different set of adjacent paths (dashed lines (different colors for each warp goal)), allowing players to explore hidden areas and levels. Basically similar to the map system in Baba is You.

Collect all of the Bananas Levels - Replacing bonus levels, instead of having a goal you go through, the objective is to collect all of the bananas in the level, levels like that with alternate exits can include another collectible such as gems, or a collectible that relates to the world itself.

Unlocking Abilities - You are already familiar with abilities in previous games such as jumping (Banana Blitz) and spin-dashing (Banana Rumble). The idea for this in future games is when you unlock them to beat later levels, they can be used in previous levels to find hidden exits, getting to bananas that you couldn’t reach before, or finding hidden collectibles.

3 Star System - So you know how some levels in games have a three star system? Whether it’s star coins in NSMB? Green stars in Super Mario 3D World, etc? Well it doesn’t specifically have to be stars in the Super Monkey Ball franchise, it could be something other than bananas such as an object relating to the theme of the world.

Warp Goal Objectives - Warp goals in levels you just get there by navigating a certain section of the level, but what if instead of that you have to do a certain objective to get to the warp goal and if you fail it, you have to restart the level to try again. It can be something as getting there in a certain time limit, collecting a number of bananas, etc.

Different types of floors - Floors with gimmicks such as ice floors for slipperiness, sand floors to slow you down (Used in Super Monkey Ball 3DS, but it could be used better), and gravity floors that alter your gravity.
