I got my electronic receipt after dropping my car of at Reagan Natl. I filled up in NJ and topped it off at a Gulf station 7 miles from the airport. Today they hit me with a 5 gallon/$57 surcharge for not having enough fuel!

I sent them screenshots form the CC app and we'll see what they say.

When I delivered the car it was filled and spotless, 525 miles remaining on the gauge. No one greeted me, the attendant waved at me and just said, Leave the keys in the car and we'll take care of it. My bad! I should've demanded they check me in.

Edited to say my gas receipt was at 16:21 pm and the recorded time of my return is 16:29. No way to use 5 gallons in 8 minutes.

UPDATE - Hertz wrote back in reply to my screenshots and said they'll refund the charges. Here is their reply:

OK, I messed up by leaving my prescription glasses on the seat next to me, but once I deplaned I realized and asked a gate agent if I could go back on and get them. They said no, that I had to file a missing item report online. My next flight was on the same plane, and it never left the gate, and I had the same seat. I filed the report after my next flight, 3 hrs long. I was very specific in the report and listed the item in detail including seat number and everything.

Today, 3 weeks later, I get a email saying they're "still searching." Is this ridiculous, don't these things get thrown into a central location at the airport? How likely is it they'll find my glasses?

Assisting someone who is not an employed Fed anymore but has 3+ years with Peace Corps, and about 9 years mix of FT and PT EFM positions. What's the process for accounting for those years and determining their retirement status, to include buy-back of Peace Corps years?

I forgot two items at the store and was in the middle of prepping to bake something. I quickly ordered the things by Uber Priority (an extra fee plus a tip). I got a response that it would be 30 minutes...perfectly acceptable. About 15 minutes later I saw a message saying, "Looking for your driver" or something like that.

I saw a new delivery time, nearly 1 hour longer! I quickly cancelled the order and got in my car to go get them myself. But customer service replied that since the driver accepted it I couldn't cancel. I repeatedly wrote that I wanted it cancelled and get the same reply. I messaged the driver the same - Cancel order. I must've sent 10 cancel messages in 20 minutes. In the end, I got my stuff and got home about 30 before the driver showed up (and I told him I cancelled it, again.)

Today I got a reply from Uber basically saying that since the driver accepted I was out of luck. I requested a refund, saying that once the first driver cancelled on me I was within my rights to cancel the delivery.

I'm going to cancel my Uber account if they refuse. I get credit card benefits with Lyft, and I use local ride share apps when I travel - cheaper and more reliable internationally.

Anyone have tips on getting refunded? Resolution?

I have 2 perfectly good Sabai routers, one Netgear and the other TPLink, that I want to sell. I am wondering if there's a reset protocol or if I should be concerned about what's on them before I sell them? I haven't used them in a while and don't need them anymore.
