Has anyone successfully taken their dog off of Epilease capsules (Potassium Bromide)?
For context, my dog Max has idiopathic epilepsy. He takes phenobarbital with epilease capsules for his seizures. He’s been seizure free for about 3 years now but he’s still on the meds. I asked his vet for the possibility of weaning him off of the medication and she agreed to lessen the dosage of the bromide from 200mg to 100mg. I’m scared he’ll relapse if I stop the epilease capsules altogether. Is this a good idea 😭
