What do I do if I want to tokiponize a name that sounds like an existing word and has no alternatives?
You’re supposed to avoid making names sound like existing words. Allah would become “lawa sewi Ala,” and ala already exists (or, by definition, it doesn’t? You know what I mean), but Allah has an alternate form, Illah which would become “lawa sewi Ila“ instead. Ree would become “jan Li,” which is a problem because li already exists, but depending on Ree’s pronunciation it could also be “jan Wi,” “jan Ki,” or maybe even “jan Si,” ignoring what it’s a nickname for.
But what about Len (as in the Vocaloid)? I can’t do “jan ilo Kakamine,” because Rin also exists, and I can’t leave it as “jan ilo Len” because len is already a word. So what should I do? Do I just leave him as clothing, or what?
