So all three of us were in a group chat and her brother said 'Sorry guys i haven't been responding to anyone all week i'm shitfaced everyday lately', now since he's been on wellfare for 8 months this was quite alarming to me since he's supposed to get the help he needs during his time off and not use it to constantly consume and relapse

So i Dm'd our mutual friend asking 'Why is he still at the same point he was 8 months ago? Why isn't he using his time to get the help he needs?', now i agree in hindsight this might sound insensitive and i was wrong to say this...

Two days pass, i receive a message from my ex saying 'what is that about my brother?!' and i apologized and she said 'well that's what happens when you speak about things you don't know' this was 1 month to the date and she still hasn't reached out.

So it appears obviously that my friend said to her brother what i had said, and this destroyed my relationship with his sister, i confronted my friend about it and he refuses to take accountability and to this day doesn't seem to quite understand what i'm going through.

I've took the month off from work because i was incredibly distressed from this whole situation, our mutual friend He lives down the street so he keeps asking questions about why i'm not at work? What am i hiding from him? Why haven't i been working the past month?

Now since he clearly proved he is untrustworthy and disingenuous with what i can tell him, what am i supposed to do with all this ?
