I'm basing this on other firmly established physical laws.

I believe that there is no such thing as "collapsing" into a black hole. A black hole is a region where gravity exceeds the speed of light, nothing much else. A Singularity isn't real and can't exist. The object is just smaller than it's schwartzschild radius, which is when it's considered a black hole. The speed of light is still a finite number, therefore a gravitational force CAN trap light. The several kilometer wide black hole is inside our sun, but the reason why we still can escape it is because once we get to the center, we're now being pulled out by the matter around us, so when all the matter is in one point, then nothing is pulling us outwards. Black holes exist inside matter, and the schwartzschild radius is the point where the event horizon becomes larger than the object (while we are squeezing said object). So, black holes begin existing when an object becomes small enough that, when at the center, there isn't enough matter pulling from the outside to counter the gravitational forces of the total mass pulling inwards.

Debunking other theories:

Black holes having infinite mass/density is false, as infinite mass/density makes an infinitely large gravitational well, pulling everything everywhere apart. I don't assume you're being torn apart by gravitational forces?

Singularities aren't real, as that would need to be infinitely dense, which, referring to the last debunked theory, can't be possible.
