Transmog: Helm of Askarra is awesome and unsettling.
Looks good in fireglass green too if you wanna look like a spirit.

Looks good in fireglass green too if you wanna look like a spirit.
Here’s the recipe:
place two wooden pillars on the corners snapped to a foundation or roof
put one wooden fence across the top, slightly sunk down
add a red iron barricade on top of that in the middle
add two more barricades on each side
place the final two barricades on those, as far as you can
paint the wood to match. I used 4E1410.
You could do the same thing with the white barricade if you’d prefer, of course. And you can replace the wood parts with stone and they’d still be dyeable.
I finally finished second my big project: a Japanese castle town. After a lot of work, building, and rebuilding, I’d like to present “Castle Yakumo.” I learned a *lot* about building bases through doing this.
“Yakumo” means “thick clouds”, which make a killer background in the sky at night. So it’s kind of a double meaning with the pal and location.
I love Japanese castles. My wife and I have lived in Japan since 2012 and we’ve visited a handful of them, the biggest being Osaka Castle.
I followed traditional Japanese castle guidelines as best I could:
1, The east and west sides are symmetrical with each other, and the north and south are, too.
2, I used many real castles as inspiration for the triangular designs.
3, I squeezed the raised platform into an area just east of the Sunreach Watchtower. There’s an existing wall, gate, and two buildings there. That’s where I put the initial raised platform, and lined it up with the existing structures.
4, The castles I’ve been to are a lot like museums, so I did the same thing. I kept the stairwells where they would have been, as far away from each other on each level, and slightly hidden, and then added little exhibit areas.
5, I couldn’t put golden fish on the very top, but I could put Yakumo statues. That’s how I got the idea for the theme. The east and west sides each have Yakumo statues recessed into the triangular parts. You can see in some of the pics what it looks like with those doors open VS closed.
6, It’s a total of 9 floors, including the raised stone base. It’s all stone in dark gray, wood dyed the same color as the Japanese unprintable parts, and, of course, Japanese parts. There is an observation deck on the middle floor of each corner, too, where guests can go outside and catch a beautiful view.
7, After building the castle itself, I expanded out. I made a groundskeeper area with a few Sakurajima residents. I made a Japanese style grave as the final resting place of “Lord Yakumo.” I made stalls and shops leading up to the castle. I also made a fishing area and dock. Drink machines by the entrance, too, as is often the case IRL.
There’s still room to expand but I’m happy for now. Thanks for checking it out! I’m open to criticism and ideas!
I made a pyramid base yesterday and thought…why not inverted too?
It took a bit of trial and error to figure out I needed 4 pillars at the bottom. Everything else is anchored to it. This is my mining, logging, crafting, and relic shredding base. It’s also storage for all my schematics and mats, under the floor.
Quite happy with the result! My wife did most of the problem solving together with me on our private server.
44M. It’s only started recently. Kinda weird.

“Kuchisake-onna (口裂け女; 'Slit-Mouthed Woman') is a malevolent figure in Japanese urban legends and folklore. Described as the malicious spirit, or onryō, of a woman, she partially covers her face with a mask or other item to hide her scar and carries a pair of scissors, a knife, or some other sharp object.
She is most often described as a tall woman of about 175–180 cm (or 5’7-5’9 ft); however, some people believe she is up to 243.84 cm (or 8ft) tall, having long straight black hair, white hands, pale skin, and otherwise being considered beautiful (except for her scar).
She has been described as a contemporary yōkai.
According to popular legend, she asks potential victims if they think she is beautiful. If they respond with "no," she will either kill them with her long medical scissors on the spot or wait until nightfall and murder them in their sleep. If they say "yes," she will reveal that the corners of her mouth are slit from ear to ear, and she will then repeat her question. If the individual responds with "no," she will kill them with her weapon, and if they say "yes" hesitantly, she will cut the corners of their mouth in such a way that resembles her own disfigurement.
Methods that can be used to survive an encounter with Kuchisake-onna include answering her question by describing her appearance as "average."
The Kuchisake-onna legend has been described as dating back to the 17th to 19th centuries, during Japan's Edo period.
The modern story of Kuchisake-onna originates from 1978 but only became popular in the summer of 1979, when several newspapers and magazines reported on the legend, and rumors surrounding it spread throughout the country, leading to young children being accompanied by groups of adults while walking home from school.”
Gearlist: simply all runic set, in purple
Too bad that body paint is necro only, otherwise I’d use it for nearly everything. Skin color is the darkest possible for contrast.
Local mom and pop place makes everything from scratch, including the noodles, broth, and chashu. Fantastic.
Fucking elementary school kid in Japan.
With bonus crab. Iron demon feet because I’m a lightning storm werewolf and they look a bit doggo.
