Running Cinccino ex at just under 50% win rate in Master League. Seeking draw consistency.

Hey y'all. I rode this deck to Master League with edits here and there. At this point, I'm just around 50% with the following insights:

  • This performs poorly against Slowking and Alakazam and slightly worse against H&S. I tend to do well against decks running ex Pokemon and do very well against MExcadrill and Pult.
  • I find that I can reliably set up the Cinccino/Metang engine roughly 70% of the time, get sniped roughly 5% of the time, and get absolutely bricked on draws the other 25% of the time.
  • I'm trying to find a bit more draw consistency and my head's starting to spin a bit. I'm not attached to Meowth, Lillie, or Morty as all of them seem to have low yield rates for me. Battle Cage also doesn't seem to be as helpful as I would have initially liked, but it the bulwark against Pult.
  • How common to on-meta decks run into some degree of bricking? This is certainly still an amateur deck, but I don't have context for what's typically expected.

Incorporating the Team - Seeking Help with Insurance

Hey yall. I’ll try to be short.

My beer league team (co-ed) recently incorporated for the purpose of organizing our own ice time and hosting scrimmages against other clubs. We opted to go for for-profit status.

I’m looking at getting liability insurance, which is a requirement for ice time here in New York. I’d like to touch base with anyone else who’s been in this position who can offer a couple pointers to make the process a bit smoother for us.

Niche Inquiry - Who's working with paper shreds?

Hey everyone,

I work in a place that goes through notable paper waste. For a while, I was saving shreds to make a beanbag chair, but I don't know if I will be getting to that project anytime soon. I'm curious if anyone in the area works with paper shreds - be it crafting, making recycled paper, or anything else.

I know this is a far fetched request, but any leads would be helpful.

Area Sports and their Seasons

Hey Everyone,

I’m trying to build a list of sports teams in the Capital Region and their general season windows. I’ve got it started but would like to add on… figured our lovely Redditors might have some ideas.

Generally speaking, I’d like to focus on pro and semi-pro, but I’m honestly open to including clubs that have a regular and planned schedule.

I’ll update as I get more info.

  • FireBirds (Arena Football)- April through July/August
  • ValleyCats (Baseball)- May through September
  • Patroons (Basketball)- February through May
  • Thunder (Ice Hockey)- September through April/May
  • AllStars (Roller Derby)- May through November

New to Modern TCG: Seeking Help with my MAudino/Bast Deck

Hey folks,

As the title suggests, I'm new to the TCG (played a little bit back in the early 00's) and am working on what I hope becomes a decent off-meta deck to have some fun.

The idea is that I want to get MAudino in the active slot and set up Meltan/Fossils early with Kaleidowaltz. From there, I'd want to get Bastiodon down early to block early attacks and take advantage of MAudino's Ear Force (20 + 240/320) whenever Pokemon clear the 3 energy barrier.

I understand that this is going to be inconsistent, but I'm having a difficult time with trainer selection. I don't know that I want specific card suggestions, but a general idea of how I should be looking at the meta-analytic development of these decks. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Pokemon Live: Who's Playing?

Hey folks,

As the title says, I'm looking for folks who are playing Pokemon Live. I'm getting back into the competitive game after a roughly 20 year hiatus and want to get some practice before buying cards and going to organized events.

I'm happy to play over the phone or meet out and about to talk shop and hang out while we play together. My handle is my reddit username. If you want to add me, just drop your handle so I know who to accept.

Unrelated: If you collect and don't want those weird code cards, I'll take those weird code cards.

Finished Moving - I Have Boxes

The title is pretty self explanatory. I have a bunch of boxes, in varying sizes, from a recent move. If you’re moving and need boxes, I will give some/all to you.

I’ll keep this post up until I’ve gotten rid of them all or recycled them. Please DM to plan a pick up!

Hey folks!

Long time collector (original Pokemania) here seeking assistance.

I’m collecting unlimited Base to Neo and have been focusing on side quests while I defer $$$$ cards for now; one side quest is all languages of Base Set Poliwhirl.

I have French, Japanese, German, Italian, Chinese, and Spanish. I’m not gonna bother with English, leaving Portuguese, Korean, and Dutch.

Does anyone have tips for how I might source these? When I check eBay, I can only find 1st edition, which isn’t what I want. TCG Player is even less helpful so I’m sort of lost. In researching this subreddit, I’ve found a couple links that are either dead or websites that have no stock.

Any help is appreciated!
