I wanted to share my experience with Eufy support in Europe and see if anyone else has gone through something similar.
I purchased a Eufy Omni S1 from Amazon UK while living in Ireland.
After less than a year, the robot suffered a major hardware failure:
Flashing red battery error
Internal water leak
Robot became completely unusable
Eufy agreed it was a warranty issue and asked me to return the entire unit for replacement.
Unfortunately, that’s where everything started going wrong.
Timeline
Returned the defective robot using Eufy’s prepaid shipping label.
The replacement was shipped from the UK.
It then got stuck in Irish customs for weeks because the required commercial paperwork wasn’t completed.
The replacement was eventually returned back to Eufy’s warehouse instead of reaching me.
I spent weeks chasing updates and repeatedly explaining the customs issue.
Now, after all of this, Eufy has told me they have checked with their German warehouse and other European warehouses and there is no replacement stock available.
Instead of offering a replacement or refund, they’ve offered me only a 30% refund, meaning they want to keep 70% of the purchase price even though:
the robot failed during the warranty period,
I returned the product exactly as instructed,
the failed replacement wasn’t my fault, and
they now admit they cannot provide another replacement.
I’ve been dealing with this case for almost two months, and it’s become one of the most frustrating warranty experiences I’ve ever had.
I’m now considering escalating the matter through the European Consumer Centre and my card provider because I don’t believe a 30% refund is a fair outcome after a failed warranty process.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Has anyone else been offered only a partial refund when Eufy couldn’t replace a defective product?
Has anyone successfully obtained a full refund?
Any advice from customers in the EU or Ireland would be appreciated.
I’m happy to share the email correspondence if it helps others.
Hey everyone,
I need a serious reality check on long-term hardware reliability. My absolute top priority is mopping performance, and I heavily prefer a roller mop / continuous washing style mechanism over spinning or vibrating pads because I need aggressive hard-floor scrubbing.
However, I am paranoid about modern premium flagships breaking down after 12–24 months due to over-engineered gimmicks. I also live in Ireland, where dealing with direct cross-border manufacturer warranty support to the UK or Europe can be a massive logistics headache.
If I have to choose strictly from a durability and hardware survival standpoint, which of these is the safest bet?
My Questions:
Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone,
I am currently living abroad and desperately need some legal guidance regarding a debt recovery situation.
About 1.5 years ago, an ex-colleague of mine borrowed £1,500 from me. The money was transferred online via Revolut. Since then, he has been completely dodging me and making endless excuses. Recently, he has stopped picking up my calls and is entirely ignoring/ghosting my WhatsApp messages.
I am extremely frustrated with his attitude and want to pursue this legally. Here is the information and evidence I currently have:
Since I am living abroad, I am unsure how to kickstart the legal process in India or how difficult it will be. I know the Limitation Act in India gives a 3-year window for civil recovery, so I want to act fast since 1.5 years have already passed.
