Anyone have any clues on why the watch is running 5 minutes slow? I took the whole thing apart, cleaned it, oiled the jewels, and everything was working just fine, then a few days later it got slow. The watch hands aren’t sticking and the balance looks fine.

I’m working on an old mid-40s Bulova. I want to pop the crystal out and get it cleaned up/ buff the scratches and get the yellow off.
What is the best way to remove the crystal without damaging it?

Acquired this beauty from a bag of broken watches. I plan to take it apart, clean it out, and give it a good polish. Any suggestions on other things to do with it? Debating re-painting the bezel.
