Concrete toppers paint advice needed

I have 2 of these brick light things in my front yard with these concrete toppers (not sure the correct name). I paint them white and they start peeling, several times over the years now. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I’m guessing strip all the paint? But how? Then prime and paint? Or can I just get new toppers somewhere and start over? Thanks for any advice.

Legitimate concern? Or mechanic just wants my money?

I recently had my 2013 Acura TL (w/200k miles) inspected for brakes, but the mechanic came back with 2 major expensive recommendations to fix. First, all engine and transmission mounts. He said my engine moves a little when I accelerate. Second, outer tie rods. You can see in the pictures they are a little damaged but the car drives fine. These repairs would cost me $2,300. Anyone know about this kind of thing, and can give me your honest opinion if they are necessary? I’m an old dude who drives very calmly. I’d rather not sink that kind of money into something that may not be necessary. Thank you for your opinion.

Pros and cons of switching mobile from Verizon to Spectrum

Been a Verizon customer for 20 years. 4 lines. No issues other than it’s expensive. A rep at the Spectrum store recently made me an offer I feel I can’t refuse. My home internet (which is Spectrum) would be upgraded to 1 gig and cost me less than half as much as I pay now (for 2 years it’s $41 versus $96 now). My 4 phone lines, which currently cost me $200+, would be about $90 (4th line free). She also said something about it all being free for a year. I didn’t quite understand it fully.

Can anyone help explain what this deal really entails? The pro is obviously spending less, but what about the cons? I hear it’s still the same network? They also have hotspots? Which we need. Is it hard to upgrade phones? Will they pay off any balance we have left on our current phone plans? I think 2 of the 4 are still being paid off via credits. Any help is appreciated. I don’t want to regret this if we do it.

I didn’t get all info from the rep because to be honest she had a very strong foreign accent and I couldn’t understand a lot of what she was trying to say.

Tree recommendations on our hill to block neighbors view in Inland SoCal

I live in the Inland Empire of SoCal. Our neighbor behind us is slightly uphill about 10 feet higher. The first pic at night is the view from our bedroom window. Their first story lines up with our second story. We would like to plant trees on our hill that will eventually grow and block their lights at night. It would also provide privacy since they can look right down into our yard from their bedroom window. The other 2 pics in the daytime gives an idea of what I’m working with. It’s a retaining wall, a hill with greenery, and a plant-covered fence. I just don’t want the end result to look too goofy. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
