Me and my doctor are wondering about emsam 6mg to see if it can help my pleasureless orgasms and my complete loss of libido i have severe anhedonia i do not feel depressed i also have serious cognitive dysfunction anxiety loss of spontaneous thoughts and socializing. I don’t have any reaction to sexual thoughts not physically or mentally i have the feeling of knowing it should be pleasurable and i want to do it but no reaction no feeling of libido

I’m 21 and have been dealing with SSRI‑induced anhedonia, PSSD, and POTS ever since stopping antidepressants. None of it went away. I’ve tried over 21 medications at this point (no MAOIs yet), including every SSRI, Wellbutrin, and stimulants. I also have severe C‑PTSD, which makes everything harder.

My tilt‑table test showed POTS with early orthostatic hypotension that recovers. Day‑to‑day, I mostly get a high heart rate and sometimes mild dizziness if I stand up too fast.

My doctor prescribed Emsam 6 mg, but I’m honestly scared to take it. I don’t want to trigger something dangerous with my autonomic issues. I’ve already been through so much with meds.

If anyone here has POTS and tried Emsam, I’d really appreciate hearing your experience.

Edit i also want to add I dont feel depressed like sad i feel very numb and emotionless and angry but its associated with the anhedonia maybe i have numb depression but i definitely cant feel sad anymore i use to cry every from age 8-18 im now 21 couldn’t cry if i wanted also i cant feel love anymore after ssri i know i love people but cant feel it if that makes sense like i would be distress if anything happened but love just feels different
