Getting stronger without the gym

Long story short I played 5v5 pickup today with some friends and randoms and realized Im weak as shit.

I was matched up against someone who was pretty similar to me in terms of skill and speed. Im 5’11 and he was around 6’1 everytime i tried gurding him he would just bump me off and get an easy layup. had to deal with that basically the entire game and he scored 13 of their 21 points on me.

Then I played another game against a different team and the same shit happened. I kept getting bodied by whoever I was guarding.

Thats when I realized that im pretty weak for the people im playing against. Obviously I want to get stronger but the closest gym is pretty far from my house.

So how would you recommend I improve my strength for basketball without having access to a gym?

Unbiased take on Wuchang Fallen feathers?

I have been thinking for the past hour about whether I should buy Wuchang but I genuinely can't get a clear read on it. One group of people is praising the game saying the build variety is great and the level design is excellent. Another group says the bosses are just average while one of my friends thinks the game falls off hard toward the end and hated a mechanic called madness.

I've looked through Reddit and other discussions but theres no real consensus. Half the people are recommending it while the other half are completely trashing it.

For context my top three souls/ Soullikes are Sekiro, The First Berserker: Khazan and Dark Souls Remastered. I really enjoy games with rewarding exploration and combat systems that feel satisfying and skill-based. Memorable boss fights are also a huge plus for me which is one of the reasons I loved Khazan.

That said if a game has mostly mediocre or forgettable bosses that's a dealbreaker for me. For example I wasnt a huge fan of Stellar Blades boss lineup before the endgame not trying to trash the game just using it as a reference for the kind of boss quality that doesn't really click with me.

(Feel free to recommend any game pretty new to the genre😅)

Returnal Or FF7:Rebirth Which Should i pick?

I'm honestly stuck on which game to buy. My friends have only played Returnal and 1 has played FF7:Rebirth so naturally that's what they've recommended, but I wanted to get some opinions from people who've played one or both.

I love the way Final Fantasy VII Rebirth looks and the combat seems like something I'd enjoy. My only concern is that my friend kept telling me it eventually gets repetitive and that a lot of the side content feels bloated or like a chore. I've never played a Final Fantasy game before and the only JRPG I've played is Expedition 33 which I absolutely loved it's easily in my top 5 games of all time. If Rebirth can deliver a similar emotional experience or has an open world thats as fun to explore as Cyberpunk 2077 Let me know.

As for Returnal I have never played a roguelike before so this would be my first proper one. I do enjoy difficult games as long as they're fair. I don't mind dying if its because I made a mistake but I dont enjoy things like unavoidable one shots attacks or attacks that feel impossible to react to. I have also heard Returnal has some pretty rough runbacks and that it doesnt have as much replayability as people make it out to have so Im curious how true that is.

The kinds of games I usually love are ones that reward exploration have a lot of combat variety (like Cyberpunk 2077) a decent story that gets me invested and wants me to get know about the world (doesent need to be revolutionary) and memorable enemies and bosses like The First Berserker: Khazan or Sekiro.

For those of you who have played either one or both, which one gave you the better value for your money? Which one felt like the more unique and memorable experience?

Also if there's another game you think fits the criteria of games i enjoy feel free to recommend it.

(Edit decided ill get final fantasy 7 remake as its the first one thanks alot i was lowkey about to buy rebirth lol)

Stellar Blade or Dark Souls: Remastered which one should i pick?

Same situation once again I genuinely don’t know what to pick next after beating nier automata ( I loved the game ngl defo in my top 10 of all time. I ended up dropping black myth at chapter 3 because it got pretty boring and repetitive combat loop i also thought people were understating the invisible walls but goddamn man).

My friends arent helping much either. none of them have actually finished either of the options I’m looking at, so I’m basically stuck deciding blind.

My situation:

Dark Souls Remastered is made by FromSoftware the same studio behind Sekiro (My number one game of all time) which already makes it feel like a 100% pick for me. But from what I’ve seen the gameplay looks slower and pretty easy which makes me worry it might feel a bit dull or less engaging compared to what I’m used to but I kind of trust them to deliver something I’ll enjoy alot at the same time,

On the other hand Stellar Blade looks way more visually impressive and the combat seems fast flashy and more modern. It feels like it might give me that same feeling I got from Sekiro but I pretty don’t know if it actually holds up in depth or if it just looks cooler.

(More context: I tend to love open world sandboxes like Cyberpunk 2077 but after doing some research i figured out i wont get the same feeling from neither of these game so im kinda looking for which one has a decent open world and is more challenging. Feel free to recommend games that fit into having a good open world and is challenging)

So yeah Which game would you guys go for if you were in a similar situation as mine.

Edit: After going through the comments seems like dark souls remastered is the better game. i saw some of yall recommended dark souls 3 But im planning to play all dark souls games so i will start with dark souls 1 and eventually climb to dark souls 3
