Snake plant isn’t snaking

A friend gave me this plant last year and it’s never really stood up. Friend told me it was a snake plant and looked like this because (she was told) it was grown from a prop of the main plant. It used to have a couple of classic snake-type blades, but I pruned them because they weren’t looking good. Does anyone know why it is so droopy and curled in on itself? The parts I cut out were always tall and wide, but never stood tall.

Snake sits about three feet away from a south facing window and I try (super hard) not to overwater it. It gets a drink every couple of weeks if the soil is dry, about half a cup or more.

The leaves look and feel healthy, so I don’t think it’s a watering issue…maybe it’s just not meant to stand up? Or is it not a snake plant? Should I trim the leaves back to where they start to flop?

Ignore the inch plants on the left. Looking for info about Professor Snake in the green pot on the right.

Help me save Peter Parker!

I have a number of thriving, happy houseplants under my care, but this one isn’t among them. I’ve always had a hard time with spider plants, but the mystery is that its little sister is doing great.

I repotted Peter (Spidey) Parker when he came home from the plant store and left little sister in her original hanging pot, which I suspect is the issue.

Both plants get a good amount of light and the same(ish) amount of time being bottom watered. Any suggestions on how to save him? Repot again? Root trim? Dehydration for weeks?! The plant store person sold me on some kind of root booster tablet thing and I used it when I repotted him. Heeellpp please!!

Sad spider plant help

So I’ve got a ton of super healthy houseplants, but always seem to kill off spider plants. This big lady in the green hanger was purchased at the same time as the smaller one, but I think I injured her somehow when repotting. Any tips on how to save/revive? Big girl gets plenty of light when the blinds are open and I have bottom watered them both about the same amount.
