I patched Hydro Thunder for VGA compatibility. But i found that there's no music. Any idea how to fix this?

Anybody ever ran into this problem, when booting the console, that there is no picture, and there are crackling noises happening? After trying to power up the console a few times, it didn't boot up. So i opened the console, checked around, and tried reseating the GDEmu in place. Now it seem to work...

I got my Dreamcast recapped recently, and it was doing this even before being recapped.

So i'm wondering, if it wasn't caused by the aging caps, what could cause this?

I have a RobotRetro USB-C power board in there, Also a GDEmu clone 5.20.5, Noctua fan mod, clock battery socket, resettable fuse on controller port, red LED power light, thermal pads were replaced as well.

What i know: this problem happened BEFORE getting the board recapped, thermal pads changed, resettable fuse on controller port installed, and thermal pads changed. I don't remember such a thing happening on another Dreamcast i owned, which had another GDEmu in there.

What i might also try is cleaning the contacts for the GD drive/GDEmu with isopropyl alcohol 99%.

Could that problem be caused by the GDEmu itself, maybe developping issues?

update: i saw my GDEmu's LED light flashing (i have a translucent shell) as it tried to load stuff for failed to. I shut down the console and tried to boot it up again, it didn't. Then reseated the GDEmu again, it worked. So maybe it's just dirty contacts on the Dreamcast's GD-Rom board?

I was wondering, i got a USB-C to round barrel cable here, that i could use on my Sega Genesis model-1, and i do have a few of those USB-C PD chargers that can do 9V.

Somebody told me i should stay with the usual 9V power supply for it, but i'm not using the stock one, i'm using a 9V 3A Efficiency Level 6, with a polarity inverter cable on it (because the Model1 is center-negative, strangely).

So...do you think i could safely switch to a USB-C PD charger (which can do 9V up to 3A) with this USB-C to 5.5mm/2.5mm round barrel cable?
