Brand new Z60 not auto emptying and not dispensing cleaning solution

This is extremely frustrating. I bought a v50 that didn’t work properly (would not dispense water no matter what) and returned it and replaced it with a z60 ultra complete. I’ve used it about 20 times running at night and I just noticed that the detergent tanks are completely full. It never used any detergent despite the settings being on to use detergent.

In addition, I checked the dust bag in the base and it was empty. I then checked the container in the robot and saw it was jam packed. It never emptied. I had noticed that it seemed like there was a lot of debris on my floors in the corner and just figured it wasn’t doing a good job getting to the corners. Turns out, the robot has just been pushing dirt and debris to the corners this whole time.

We have cleaners come twice a month so it masked the problem but I’m incredibly frustrated with yet another malfunctioning Mova unit. Anyone else have this issue and able to fix it? I don’t have the box anymore and don’t want to deal with sending it back. Unit is only like 2 months old.

Edit: just checked the app and it’s cleaned a total of 23 times with the first cleaning at the end of April.

You can often negotiate your out of pocket hospital bills and save hundreds

I’ve seen many posts here where people claim that your hospital bill is your hospital bill and you can’t negotiate it but that’s not entirely true. Yes, there is little to no value going through and trying to scrub line items on your bill but you can almost ALWAYS negotiate a discount on your out of pocket costs if you are in a position to pay up front.

Many hospitals will allow you to make interest-free payments on balances for 3, 6, or even 12 months. But if you call the billing department and tell them you are thinking about a payment plan but wanted to see if there is discount for paying in one lump sum, you can often save 10% to 15%.

I was able to do this twice just in the last month. Our son was admitted to the emergency room and then overnight in the hospital. My out of pocket costs after deductible and consonance was $750 for the emergency room (after a $300 copay) and ~$2100 for the overnight hospital visit. There was a payment plan option for both or I could just pay the full amount online. Instead, I called both billing departments to see if there was a lump sum payment discount (as opposed to just paying the bill online). The ER visit initially checked and said they could do it for ~$680. I told them that wasn’t even $100 off and I would rather just do the payment plan. She went back and checked and said they could do ~$600 and I asked if there was any other discounts and she got it down to $550 if I paid upfront. I did the same for the hospital stay and they offered a 10% discount but wouldn’t budge any further. Still, for a total of 15 minutes on the phone, I saved about $400.

Of course, we were fortunate enough to be able to pay upfront instead of having to resort to a payment plan but I bet they would even have reduced the bill a bit if I said I would do a 3 month plan instead of a 12 month plan.

(I also did this with an unpaid tuition bill my wife had and saved about $5k! You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take).

Where can I go to learn more about pharmaceutical import/exports?

A lot of my job has to do with importing and exporting clinical pharmaceuticals between US, China, Europe, and other countries. Where can I go to learn more about import cost components, insurance, IOR requirements, HTS codes, etc. Are there any courses that people have found helpful? I already have a good understanding but I want to become an SME and not feel like I'm guessing a lot of the time.
