I haven’t even had it that long 😭 it’s a Jon Renau Zara lite, I trimmed the lace with ultra sharp fabric scissors and applied some of that fray stopper stuff, but this has happened. Is there anything I can do to salvage it? You can’t see anything wrong with it when it’s on…
First sleepover with a new guy I’ve been dating for a little while… so far he’s only really seen me in proper make up and I’m just not ready or confident enough for him to see me fully barefaced yet, so I was thinking to just get a tinted moisturiser to wear overnight- looking for recommendations!
I’m starting a new job in a little over a week. It’s an intense, high responsibility job, and I have several worries-
I’m coming off the back of nearly 4 years of working nights, and my body clock is buggered. I’m rarely asleep before 2am no matter how tired I am. For the first 3 weeks of the new job I will be doing classroom based training 8am-4pm. I will be assessed on everything. Then I will be doing the job alongside a mentor for 6 weeks before going solo.
Today I have been sent a 134 page “pre-module learning” document covering the twelve modules I will be taught AND assessed on ON THE FIRST DAY. I haven’t read 134 pages of anything in I don’t even know how long, let alone stuff I have to absorb well enough to be tested on within a week.
I cannot miss a single day of training for any reason at all. There is no way to catch up, so if I do I have to leave and start again in October when the next training cycle begins. I simply cannot afford to be unemployed for that long.
I need suggestions for what I can do to help me be prepared for this, in every way. I am human chaos- awful time keeping, forgetful, easily distracted, you name it. I am fairly recently diagnosed full house for inattentive and hyperactive adhd. I’m currently on 40mg Elvanse, going up to 50 in 3 weeks.
The new employer is aware of my ADHD- could anyone advise what if any reasonable adjustments I might be able to request that will help me get through the training and onward?
Any and all advice appreciated. I’m very keen for this job and I think I could be really good at it but I’m starting to shit myself a bit.
