I've just about had the last straw with Christianity. If God is a benevolent being - provided that He really exists - then why did He allow the 9/11 attacks to happen? Why did He allow the 2008 financial crisis to happen along with the recent inflation crises? Why did He allow men like Trump, Putin and Netanyahu to take power and get away with the evil things they get away with? Why does He sit idly by while I struggle to find a great-paying job despite my qualifications, while a handful of billionaires fiddle as people like me struggle with the basic necessities? Honestly, I'm glad I'm a witch, and I'm happier worshipping Satan, because God is a massive asshole.

As at least some of you know, Paul Zaza & Carl Zittrer - the composers behind the soundtrack to the 1980 slasher movie Prom Night - had to come up with knockoff disco songs because the film's budget didn't allow for actual licensed disco tracks. I've managed to figure out the following disco tracks so far:

• "Prom Night": originally "Star Love" by Cheryl Lynn
• "Time to Turn Around": originally "Born to Be Alive" by Patrick Hernandez
• "Changes": originally "Dancer" by Gino Soccio
• "Love Me Till I Die": originally "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor

However, there are two tracks I've yet to figure out, one of which does not appear in the film itself:

• "Prom Night" (known as "Prom Night (Not used in film)" on the 2019 soundtrack reissue): Not to be confused with the aforementioned track that actually appears in the movie. Some sources suggested this sounds like Pat Benatar, and it does indeed have a sort of "what if Pat Benatar did disco?" vibe. However, as far as I'm aware, Pat Benatar never dipped her toes in the disco genre.
• "Dancing In the Moonlight": Has nothing to do with the 1972 King Harvest hit of the same name. I REALLY wish I knew which song this was modelled after, because it's one of my favorite cuts from the soundtrack.

Also note, this post excludes the bonus, unused disco tracks from the 2019 reissue such as "Funk Dat Disco".

UNRELATED TRIVIA: The rock songs in the film were performed by an obscure Canadian band called Highstreet, formed in Sherbrooke, Quebec in 1968 and released two albums between 1979-1981 before breaking up.

I (37M) have autism and generalized anxiety disorder, and I'm very high functioning, but I also suffer from anger issues, and I've tried several methods to keep them in check, but with little success. Today, I had an appointment with my psychiatrist to discuss this, and not only did she not give me much in the way of help despite me telling her some possible causes, but I am now considering firing her as well as my current therapist. If anyone knows any mental health professionals in this state who are better-equipped to treat people on the autism spectrum, please let me know.

I'm a Wiccan, and I love everything witchy. Aside from writing my debut novel, which involved witches, I also watched the entirety of the anime Little Witch Academia and LOVED IT! Ever since then, I've been looking for movies and/or shows about cute and/or hot witches. It doesn't matter if they're animated or live action, or for kids or adults. As long as they have adorable witch vibes, that's all that matters. Just PLEASE, NO Harry Potter.

Oh, and before you start making recommendations, I am well aware of the late Jill Murphy's book series The Worst Witch and its adaptations; I just haven't read/watched any of them. Also, I am aware of the book series Diary of an Accidental Witch by Perdita & Honor Cargill, but again, have yet to read that, plus I don't think it's been adapted for screen.

OK, so for decades, I've been on-and-off trying to find a piece of epic orchestral music that was used in a TV commercial for the show The New Batman Adventures back in the late 90s. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a YouTube video of the commercial. I know this music was used elsewhere, but I can't remember exactly where else I heard it. Probably the best description I can give was that it was a mid-tempo piece with a similar feel to this orchestral section from the song "Ghost Love Score" by Nightwish, which is commonly used for YTMND "Epic Manuever" stuff.

OK, so I started driving for Uber back in December as per the advice of my therapist because not only was my unemployment money exhausted and the people at the unemployment office were being dicks and not giving me an extension, but I had exhausted my savings and needed a stopgap measure to make money until I could get an actual job. It was fun mostly, but this week has been maddening because I was trying to work overtime to not only earn some money for a trip I'm taking to New York with my brother and make a payment I needed to make at the same time, but yesterday and today were so frustrating. In fact, today was so frustrating that I just gave up for the day. Seriously, I fucking quit. I don't want to do this anymore, but at the same time, it's the only way I have to earn money until I begin my new job in a few days.

I'm a guy, and I decided to make a witch costume because I love expressing myself. In addition to a witch hat and robe, I also have a leather jacket for colder seasons, studded leather wristbands for warmer seasons (I'm a huge metalhead too), a studded leather belt and a pair of Wesco Motor Patrol leather boots (they ain't cheap, but you can beat them up and they'll last). Given all this, is there anything else that would complement the look?

OK, I'm technically watching this one on Tubi, but I hear it's on BritBox too, so I figured it was all right to ask here.

So, I'm American, and I've heard of the 70s/80s crime show The Professionals for well over a decade, but because it never aired on any American cable channels (as far as I was aware) nor were any Region 1 DVD/Blu-ray box sets manufactured, it was only until recent years that I was able to watch it, and the first thing that struck me - aside from how much ass it kicks - is how hardcore it is compared to American police procedurals from the 70s and 80s. Like, I love shows like Adam-12, Miami Vice, S.W.A.T. and Hunter, but this one has more balls than all of those shows combined. Why is that?
