Finally got my model making workbench organized and ditched the corded tools

got my dad some heavy garage gear for fathers day. looking at his giant greasy toolbox made me realize how ridiculous my little modeling corner is in comparison. he works on actual trucks and im over here squinting at 1/35 scale plastic.

spent the weekend cleaning up the bench and ditching the cord mess. switched to a cordless setup with one of those hoto rotary tools and it made a huge difference. handles resin cleanup way better than the bulky dremel did. no more cables snagging on stuff or melting tiny parts with too much power.

now i just need to figure out a better storage solution for my Vallejo dropper bottles. pretty sure they multiply when i'm not looking.

Does anyone know anything about this company?

Been digging into longevity / performance / brain enhancement supplements more recently, and stumbled upon a company called Modavance. Haven’t seen many conversations here about them and would love to hear your thoughts / experiences if anyone has looked into them

Advice for a 2029 btech graduate about what to work upon

hello people, im going to be entering my second year at a tier 1 iit (non circuital) this year and have been working upon my problem solving skills on cf and a little bit of career exploration in IT and also considering non IT roles like PM , but i am still not sure about what domain to pick to be proficient at as AI is seeming to create a lot of confusion for future. An advice would be appreciated what to do

about intern season

just entering 2y and wanted to ask if people from non circuital branch with a <7.5 cg make it to on campus interns or not. Or looking for off campus is mostly the choice? How does looking for off campus intern opportunities take place and what does it affect if any?

Looking for genuine advice on how to approach building skills from here

so im about to start my 3rd semester from an old iit non circuital branch interested in swe roles(graduating in 2029), and so far I’ve been mainly focusing on competitive programming since dsa is what most companies in my college emphasize for internships and placements as told by my seniors.

However, im a bit confused about the project side of things. Ik that having a couple of good projects is important for resumes and interviews, but I’m not clear on when and exactly what kind of projects should i study for, next summer break? or should i start focusing on it side by side. Right now I don’t have any substantial projects, just basic coding experience through cp. Would appreciate advice from people who have gone through this. If you were in my position, how would you approach resume building from here?

SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY

hello seniors (upcoming 3y and 4y), so basically in from a non circuital branch and my sgpa in sem1 was 7.5 and it had a massive drop to 6.5 in sem2 (very unlucky grading). it has taken a hit and im starting to get concerned about internships and placements and hence i need clarity.
what I need clarity on:
1.) im going to be more academically focussed in sem3 (i really want a cg>=7.5) so guide me if its okay and doesnt create an impact on upskilling
2.) for internships (software roles), how much does cgpa actually matter
3.)how do I start upskilling now (dsa, projects, etc.)?

TLDR : how should i work on balancing upskilling and working on cg keeping in mind the sg drop this sem
