A close friend of mine once represented a client who later made some outrageous false accusations against him and even tried to punch him in court after being told that her case had no chance of success. Looking back, there were probably warning signs. He took the case because he felt sorry for her since she was involved in a bitter alimony dispute with her husband, even though she had already fired a previous attorney.
