What do we do if they just stop responding to emails?

So recently I've had problems with my courses and I've been emailing a lot of people. I CC'd every UoPeople person in my Gmail, but still days and days with no response. At this point, I think I'm begging for even a rejection, basically any response. The serious part is that there isn't anything you can do about it; they will respond when they feel like it. Your program advisor doesn't respond, and neither does anyone like the credit transfer team or even student services. So what do you do in this situation? What do you threaten them with after enough time has passed like weeks or months? Reporting to WASC?

Non-CS electives rejected during credit transfer

Hi everyone, I'm a CS student at UoPeople and recently transferred many courses from Study.com.

So they accepted most of my CS courses like Data Structures, Operating Systems, Databases 2, Software Engineering, Networking, Discrete Math, and Artificial Intelligence. That part is good.

But they rejected almost all my non-CS electives. I took many Business and Health Science courses because they were listed in my Degree Audit Report under Electives. I even matched them carefully with the Study.com courses.

I attached a document that shows exactly which Study.com course maps to which UoPeople course in my DAR.

My questions are:

Why did they reject all the Business and Health Science electives?

Has anyone successfully transferred Business or Health electives from Study.com to a CS degree recently?

Is there any way to appeal this?

High chance Study.com electives get rejected?

Hi everyone,

I’m a CS student at UoPeople with 60 credits so far. I had 6 Sophia courses rejected because they were classified as General Electives and I had already filled the 3 credit limit in that category.

My Degree Audit shows I still need 27 more elective credits (out of 30) and I’m about to start Study.com (College Saver Pro) but I’m very worried most courses will get rejected like Sophia

On Study.com the only clear CS electives I see are:

  • CS 4408 Artificial Intelligence
  • CS 3340 Systems and Application Security

For the rest I’ll have to take general Business, Management, Psychology, History etc

I emailed my advisor asking about the elective split (Major 27 / General 3) and whether Study.com courses would be accepted. The response was:

>

It was pretty vague and didn’t give me clear guidance on what courses are safe.

My questions:

1. What are the real chances that general BUS/Health Science/Psychology courses from Study.com get rejected as electives for CS students?

2. Has anyone successfully transferred a lot of non-CS electives from Study.com to UoPeople CS degree?

Any recent 2026 experiences would help a lot. I don’t want to waste another month and money if many get rejected again.

Thanks in advance.

Sophia Transfer Issues

So I submitted my Sophia transfer request on May 9th (15 courses) and more than a month later, I finally got a partial update but I'm still confused.

Out of 15 Sophia courses I took, only 9 were approved as proper equivalents (Calculus, Programming 2, Web Programming 1, Art History, Introduction to Biology, Introduction to Philosophy, Introduction to Sociology, etc.).

The other 6 courses weren't approved at all. The only common thing I see is that the courses that weren't approved were all electives.

I also still see $153 transfer fee ($17 per course) even though Sophia is an official partner and the page says fees should be waived for the first 20 courses.

My questions are:

  • Why were 6 of my Sophia courses completely rejected?
  • Will those 6 courses still count toward my 120 total credits in any way, or did I waste my time and money on them?
  • Do I have to email my advisor to get the transfer fee waived? Because I thought it was supposed to be automatically waived, and also what're the chances my advisor says no to waiving the fees?

Any recent experiences or advice would help a lot. Thank you.
